After the completion of Changjiang Changhua first-class fishing port construction project (Phase I), efforts will be made to cultivate and strengthen Changjiang marine economy, effectively guide fishermen to change their jobs, promote the integration of primary, secondary and tertiary industries, and promote Changjiang to show greater achievements in the construction and new development pattern of Hainan Free Trade Port.

It is understood that the project will be built in two phases. In the first phase, the newly-built wharf coastline is 465,438+065,438+0 meters, the rear shore structure is 323.8 meters, the south wave and sand dike is 685.5 meters, and the north wave and sand dike is 584 meters, as well as slope protection and pollution prevention facilities for fishing ports. The construction period is 900 days, and the construction is expected to be completed by the end of June 2025.

By then, the effective water area of the newly-built fishing port will be about 300,000 square meters, and the water area in the port can meet the production, berthing and shelter needs of 600 large, medium and small fishing boats in the Yangtze River and its surrounding areas, and meet the demand of 40,000 tons of catch for unloading, laying a solid foundation for the all-round development of the "Oriental-Yangtze River" fishing port economic zone.
