The theme of Safety Month 2022

June 2022 is the 21st National "Safety Production Month", with the theme being "Comply with the Safety Production Law and be the first responsible person."

The legal representative, actual controller, and actual person in charge of the enterprise must strictly fulfill the responsibilities of the first person responsible for safety production and bear overall responsibility for the safety production of the unit. For those who deliberately increase the management level, shirk responsibility at every level, and set up a "firewall" for accountability, the main person in charge and the person in charge of the group company should be directly held accountable when a major accident occurs.

Source of Safety Month

Before 1980, due to various reasons, many enterprises and units had poor production safety conditions for a long time, with frequent casualties and serious occupational diseases. Relevant government departments are determined to make great efforts and take effective measures to solve problems in labor protection and reverse the serious situation of casualties and occupational diseases.

With the approval of the State Council, it is composed of the State Economic Commission, the State Construction Commission, the National Defense Industry Office, the Finance and Trade Group of the State Council, the State Agriculture Commission, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Health, the State General Administration of Labor, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and the Central Broadcasting Bureau. All departments jointly made a decision to carry out safety month activities nationwide in June 1980, and determined that safety month activities will be carried out every June in the future to make them regular and institutionalized.
