Why doesn't China have the same college sports culture as foreign countries?

I don't think there is a college sports culture in China like that in foreign countries. This phenomenon has a lot to do with the national conditions of our country and people's thoughts.

Our country is still in the stage of rapid economic development. Although the economy has developed very well in recent years, it is still a developing country and has not yet ranked among the developed countries. Although people's living standards have been greatly improved, they are not as leisurely as people in developed countries, so they don't have to worry about their livelihood. People are busy for their livelihood every day, so naturally they have no mind to do sports.

Although many parks have fitness facilities, the investment in sports venues such as basketball courts and football fields is not enough.

Influenced by traditional ideas, many people think that reading and learning cultural knowledge is the most important thing, many parents despise sports, and in many high school classes, physical education class is very rare, and physical education class is only once a week. Schools, parents and teachers do not attach importance to physical education.

When my brother was in high school, he wanted to study physical education and become a physical education student, but my parents strongly opposed my brother's study of physical education. Because in many people's cognition, a physical education student is a person with a simple mind and developed limbs, and my parents think that studying science can have more choices when looking for a job in the future, and the future employment of studying sports is too narrow. Under the strong opposition of my parents, my brother finally chose science.

Because of this national condition and people's thinking, the number of sports students in our country is not dominant compared with cultural students and other art students. The number of professional talents is so scarce, how can the sports culture in universities be comparable to that in foreign countries?

To change this situation, we need to constantly develop the economy, improve people's living standards, and change our own thinking of despising sports.
