Brief introduction of Meishan

Meishan, a prefecture-level city in Sichuan Province, is located in the southwest of Chengdu Plain and the middle reaches of Minjiang River in Sichuan Basin.

Meishan is adjacent to Neijiang, Zigong and Ziyang in the east, Leshan in the south, Ya 'an in the west and Chengdu in the north.

On June 10, 2000, the State Council officially approved the revocation of Meishan area and the establishment of Meishan City to manage Dongpo District, Pengshan District, Renshou County, Hongya County, Dan Ling County and Qingshen County.

Meishan, called Meizhou in ancient times, was a county administrative region as early as 1000 years ago.
