Do you know how much domestic waste our county produces every day? Regarding this, I visited the Environmental Sanitation Office and learned that the amount of garbage generated in our county every day is 85 tons, which is 31,025 tons a year. I don’t know if I don’t tell you, but I’ll be shocked if I tell you! It seems that the sanitation workers are working too hard. They have to deal with so much garbage every day, which is not an easy task.

Domestic waste can be divided into two categories: one is non-recyclable waste, including peels, leftovers, vegetable peels, etc. The other category is recyclable garbage, including waste paper, plastic, rubber, glass, metal, etc. The advantage of using garbage classification is that it can reduce pollution and save resources through neutralization, recycling and reuse. At present, our county's method of handling domestic waste is to collect it first, then transfer it, and then transport it to Jianshan Landfill for sanitary landfill. Moreover, our county has invested more than 40 million yuan to build a new landfill in Jinxi Shangkeng. In fact, the best way is to promote the classification of domestic waste. This is not only the job of the sanitation department, but also the responsibility of each of our citizens. To solve this problem, we must start from the basics.

Therefore, I suggest:

1. A large amount of publicity to improve people's quality and strengthen environmental awareness.

2. After the garbage is classified and bagged, it should be put out at regular intervals and at designated locations.

3. Try not to use plastic bags when buying groceries, use baskets instead. Use less disposable items when eating out

4. Recycle and reuse waste. We should be grateful to those scavengers. Although their image is detrimental to the appearance of the city, they play a big role in sorting garbage.
