4. When the rooster sings, the world becomes white and spring comes to the world. Our motherland has steadily entered a new era of building socialism: the Beijing-Kowloon Railway, the economic artery at the turn of the century, sounded a whistle full of hope and pursuit at the junction of urban and rural areas; the Three Gorges Project depicts the outline of economic opening; the opening of the Pujiang River will China's reform and opening up will carry forward the past and open up the future; the return of Hong Kong and Macao has washed away a century of humiliation; the five-star red flag flying on the podium of the Olympic Games has given the rooster-shaped territory a golden color. There are also the invention of Einstein's theory of relativity; Heisenberg's creation of mechanics; the development and utilization of nuclear energy; Apollo who landed on the moon and the heroes who fought against floods in the Yangtze, Nen and Songhua rivers, pushing human civilization to the forefront of history. At the peak, outstanding figures one after another have set up immortal monuments for human society.

5. Looking back at yesterday, our motherland has made brilliant achievements, and looking forward to tomorrow, we are full of pride and enthusiasm for the new world. The new century is a century full of hope. In this century, socialist modernization is waiting for someone to build, and communist ideals are waiting for someone to realize. Classmates, let us set our ambitions today: closely follow the leadership of the party, love the motherland, study diligently, actively practice, and use our own hands to draw a grand blueprint for the 21st century.
