Having said that, in addition to the stunning appearance, Sonata's riding performance is quite unexpected. It can be said that Sonata is a "duplicity" car. Officially, Sonata is positioned as a relatively sporty B-class car, but in my opinion, Sonata's sports are not really pursuing sports, but just seem to be sporty enough. Sonata's riding performance is commendable, but there are two things I think need to be improved. When your speed climbs above 100 km, the extra 70 horsepower will gradually show its advantages.

It is said that the performance of the modern 8AT gearbox is not even as good as its own dual clutch. It may be that the modern practice of dual clutch is too good, which makes me have such a big psychological gap. If I have to choose, 1.5T+7DCT is more cost-effective. After all, I can't think of any reason to spend more than 40 thousand to buy the top model with the same active and passive safety configuration.

Sonata's chassis suspension can give you a good sense of support when crossing the roundabout ramp or getting off the expressway in traffic. At the same time, in the face of subtle fluctuations, the front and rear suspensions can cooperate well, and the vibration is filtered thoroughly. However, the chassis texture of Sonata is still relatively thin, and the biggest factor causing this feeling is that the chassis noise is easily transmitted to the cab through the floor, and the NVH performance in the car is also relatively average at high speed.

Well, having said that, it is inevitable to compare Sonata with the three B-class car bosses, namely Accord, Magotan and Camry. In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with choosing any of these four cars, and they also have their own advantages in product strength. It's just that we'd better consider the actual car environment before buying.

If there is a business need, the first thing to rule out is the Sonata, which looks too exaggerated and frivolous, while Hyundai is slightly inferior to the above three in brand influence and is not suitable for business. However, if you just want to choose a family car with high value, high configuration and comfortable ride, it is really worth a bold attempt. Regardless of comfort configuration or hardware, Sonata's ability to play in the same class is very strong. 200,000 can buy a higher model than the top Accord, and the price/performance ratio is beyond doubt.

Do you think Sonata of the 10th generation can become a dark horse again? In my opinion, no! Sonata is indeed on the right track of younger design, but other competitors are also taking younger design.
