1. Article 11 of the "Regulations on the Prevention and Control of Pollution from Large-scale Livestock and Poultry Breeding" stipulates that it is prohibited to build livestock and poultry farms and breeding communities in the following areas:

(2) Core areas and buffer zones of nature reserves;

(3) Urban residential areas, cultural, educational and scientific research areas and other population-concentrated areas ;

(4) Other prohibited breeding areas stipulated by laws and regulations.

2. Article 37 Anyone who violates the provisions of these Regulations and builds livestock and poultry farms or breeding communities in prohibited breeding areas shall be ordered by the environmental protection department of the local people's government at or above the county level to stop illegal activities; Those who refuse to stop illegal activities shall be fined not less than 30,000 yuan but not more than 100,000 yuan, and reported to the people's government at or above the county level for ordering demolition or closure.

In practice, there are no strict regulations on the distance between farms and residential areas. If it affects other people’s normal work, rest, and health, you can complain to the Environmental Protection Bureau or the local government.
