When is the best time to breed cows?

1. Breeding cows should be based on their physical development. Generally, breeding should be carried out when 15 ~ 18 months old and the weight reaches 350 ~ 380 kg. Too early will affect the growth and development of dairy cows, and too late will increase the feeding cost;

2. The breeding of parturient cows should be mastered according to the milk yield, physique and postpartum uterine recovery. Generally, mating occurs between 45 ~ 100 days after delivery and 45 ~ 60 days after delivery.

3. The best mating time for cows in estrus is that the duration of estrus is about 18 hours, and ovulation occurs from 10 to 24 hours after the end of estrus. Therefore, the mating time is 6 ~ 18 hours before ovulation, and its pregnancy effect is the best. Generally, cows estrus in the morning, mate in the afternoon and get back together the next morning.
