Many years ago, Li Meng, a Changsha native who worked in Shenzhen, discovered the wonderful scenery of Dahe Xiyang Lake Wetland while driving through Changsha. A few years later, he was surprised to find that this vast area, which was once a quiet corner, has now become the most imaginative urban space in the central area.

As one of the core areas of the Dahexi Pilot Zone, Yanghu Wetland is leading the transformation and development of the "Oriental Rhine" Xiangjiang Economic Belt, drawing a new map south of Yuelu Mountain. Among them, the 6,000-acre Yanghu Wetland Park is the largest wetland park in the central region. It is also the beginning of ecological governance in the Xiangjiang River Basin, and an important ecological project in the construction of a "two-oriented" society in the pilot area.

Once upon a time, this was a flood-prone place

Yanghu Wetland, a former flood-prone place, seemed to be a late bloomer. In the past, this was one of the largest vegetable bases in Changsha. Half of the leeks and green onions in the Changsha Farmers Market came from Yanghuyuan.

However, Yanghu’s long-standing superior natural conditions mean that she will not keep a low profile. With the development of urbanization, it has become the center of urban development, which highlights the uniqueness of the largest urban wetland park in central China. It was less than ten kilometers away from the city center. With such a short distance, it was not prematurely submerged in the wave of urbanization at that time. Maybe it's also a blessing.

After the Dahexi Pilot Zone was established, this area was planned as Yanghu Wetland. In early 2010, the "Changsha Yanghu Wetland Park Master Plan" was officially released. According to the plan, the Yanghu area is the largest urban wetland park in central China. On June 22, 2011, Changsha Yanghu Wetland Park officially opened and is open to the public free of charge.

Now, she is the city’s Central Park

In the eyes of many people in the industry, Yanghu Wetland Park has a similar temperament to New York’s Central Park, London’s Hyde Park and Beijing’s Chaoyang Park. It is also not in the traditional core area of ????the city, but it is very close to the city center, so you can enjoy a life without leaving the city.

What is even more rare is that this area not only has an unparalleled natural environment, but also has a unique cultural atmosphere. University Town, Yuelu Academy, etc. constitute the unique cultural symbols of Yanghu Wetland. On days when the weather is nice, college students from the surrounding area go to Yanghu Wetland to enjoy the scenery.

Now, a number of brand real estate companies such as Blu-ray COCO Honey City, Guangdian Real Estate, Vanke, China Resources, China Overseas Shipping, China State Construction, Heneng, and China Hydropower are lining up here. As the operation and management of the wetland park gradually matures and its ability to gather popularity increases, Yanghu Wetland is attracting more and more high-end people to stay.

Yanghu Wetland Public Opinion Micro-Survey

Xu Xiaohui (Media Person): After the Yanghu Wetland Park is completed, it will become a large-scale comprehensive park that receives 4 million tourists annually. In fact, what I am most concerned about is that the overall greening rate of the wetland complex is more than 40%, with more than 700 plant species and more than 130 bird species. Occasionally, if you have free time, if you can take a walk here, you will definitely be refreshed by the singing of birds and the fragrance of flowers. Looking forward to looking forward to it.

Zhou Jianlan (current college student): The natural environment of the area deserves recognition, especially the air environment is relatively good among the major areas in Changsha City, and there are many universities and educational resources. Not bad. However, the living, transportation and other related supporting facilities in this area still need to be followed up.

Liu Lin (retired employee): My wife and I want to find a place with a beautiful environment and not too far from the city center to enjoy our retirement years. Yanghu Wetland, which is developing rapidly, is a good area. Moreover, the housing prices in this place are relatively cheap now.
