During the Northern Song Dynasty, Taiyuan also suffered its own disaster. At that time, the first emperor of the Song Dynasty wiped out the Northern Han regime in Taiyuan, thus unifying the whole country. However, because of the fear of Taiyuan's title of "Dragon City" and the fear that Taiyuan people would rebel against the Song Dynasty, they set fire to it. After the fire, Jinyang City was in ruins, and this ancient city with a history of nearly 1500 years was completely destroyed. Even later, there was no glory.

It can be said that the decline of the ancient capital Jinyang is sad. Even many people say that there are countless precious sites in Shanxi today, but it is still a pity that a thousand-year-old city has been lost.
