The oldest 587-year-old "Yanbu Laolong"

Yanbu Laolong, Nanhai District, is 587 years old this year. The total length is 36.8 meters (not including the head and tail) and the weight is 4 tons. It is made of Kundian wood and can accommodate up to 86 people. It is one of the oldest dragon boats in China.

This century-old "dragon" no longer participates in dragon boat racing, but only performs dragon swimming at dragon boat racing events. The dragon head and tail are enshrined in Yanbu Huaguang Temple, while the hull is "dormant" in Yanbu Longyong Sanxin Village.

This year, the Yanbu old dragon will be "dressed up" and hold a dragon swimming ceremony with the Pantang dragon boat! Friends who want to see "Ye Qi" and "Seventh Son", don't miss it!
