The second general meeting of XX Town Branch of XX City Federation of Industry and Commerce and XX Town Chamber of Commerce in XX City, under the leadership of the town party committee and government, and under the guidance of the Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce, has successfully completed the scheduled agenda of the meeting and is about to close.

This conference was held under the favorable situation that our town has intensified its reform and opening up, sustained, rapid and healthy economic development, and made remarkable achievements in various social undertakings. This is a major event in the political life of the industrial and commercial people in our town, which will certainly play an important role in further mobilizing and uniting the vast number of industrial and commercial people and promoting the all-round progress of all undertakings in our town.

During the conference, the leaders of the Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce and the leaders of the town party committee and government came to the conference to give guidance and make important speeches, and put forward requirements for the future work of the Chamber of Commerce. Here, on behalf of all members of XX Town Chamber of Commerce, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks! I hope that under the leadership of the town Party committee and government and the specific guidance of the Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce, the Chamber of Commerce in our town will give full play to its role as a bridge between representatives of the non-public economy, be a good assistant to the government in managing the non-public economy, live up to the great trust and ardent expectations of leaders at all levels, and contribute to the economic development of XX.

Entrusted by the second Council of the Town Chamber of Commerce, I would like to make two suggestions on how to carry out the work of the Chamber of Commerce in the next three years:

The overall guiding ideology of the work of the Chamber of Commerce in the next three years is: guided by the spirit of the 16th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, insisting on taking economic construction as the center, attaching importance to self-construction, giving play to the role of "bridge", "link" and assistant, actively participating in the discussion of state affairs, carrying out various service activities, and promoting the overall progress of our town's economic development and social undertakings.

First, focus on economic construction and carry out various tasks.

The work of the Chamber of Commerce must closely focus on economic construction, strive to carry out various service activities and ideological and political work, and organize and mobilize members to do more practical things for the economic development of our town.

First, we should do a good job in participating in the administration of state affairs, attach importance to and participate in the consultation and discussion on major issues such as the economic development of the town, and make suggestions to promote the healthy economic development of our town. At the same time, in view of the major issues that members and the masses are concerned about, we should go deep into reality, investigate and study, and put forward opinions and suggestions to provide reference for the decision-making of the town party Committee and government, and enhance the scientific and democratic nature of major decisions.

Second, we should take the initiative to solve problems for members, especially the practical problems encountered by enterprise members in production and operation, which should be reflected through different channels to achieve practical solutions. We will strengthen the ties between enterprises and institutions of higher learning and scientific research through visits and technical project negotiations, and rely on science and technology to develop enterprises.

Third, we should give full play to the network advantages of the Federation of Industry and Commerce and actively play the intermediary role of the Chamber of Commerce. Through various means, strengthen horizontal cooperation, communicate information, open up markets, use and develop member contact networks, especially strengthen contacts with Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and foreign business associations, carry out domestic and international economic contacts and exchanges, and strive to introduce funds, technology and talents for enterprises.

Fourth, in response to the call of the Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce to implement the "100-household poverty alleviation project", actively carry out poverty alleviation activities, and hope that the majority of member enterprises, especially the enterprises of the Chamber of Commerce Council, will get rich and think about their sources. The development of individual talents and the success of career can not be separated from the party's policy of enriching the people. Therefore, on the one hand, we should speed up our own development, pay attention to economic benefits, and at the same time, we should have love and dedication, pay attention to social benefits, play the role of becoming rich leaders and take the initiative.

Fifth, encourage and promote the development of the non-public economy. We should actively explore new ways to do a good job in the representative work of non-public economic people, and play the role of "bridge", "link" and "assistant" in uniting, helping to guide and educate non-public economic people and promoting the healthy development of non-public economy.

Two, pay attention to and strengthen their own construction, and strive to improve the service level.

Most of the members of our Council come from the business sector, which undoubtedly brings vitality to the Chamber of Commerce, which creates very favorable conditions for future work. According to the requirements and hopes of superiors, we should keep pace with the times in organization, system and work, innovate constantly, and strive to make the Chamber of Commerce an organization with self-management, self-education, self-service, self-restraint and self-development. Members of the Council should strengthen their study, be familiar with and master the professional knowledge of the work of the Chamber of Commerce, do practical things and do good things for industrial and commercial enterprises, and promote the economic development of our town.
