People often ask me about my life. In India, the average religious person needs 2 years to study, 2 years to serve the educational administration, 2 years to teach others skills, and 2 years to travel. That's what happened to the Buddha. My life can be divided into ten years.

My parents made me rich all my life.

Before I was 12 years old, I was growing up. I was born in The Fairy Temple, Yangzhou, a small town in the south of the Yangtze River. My family is poor and I have never seen a school. I thought at that time, what will I do in the future?

My parents gave me a lifetime of wealth. They gave me a healthy body and a compassionate personality.

since I was a child, I have cared for the animals at home, such as cats, dogs, pigs and sheep. Because of poverty, sometimes, adults are not allowed to give food to cats and dogs. I think cats and dogs can't talk when they are hungry. People can eat less, but cats and dogs still want to eat, so they secretly give them. My parents also gave me the habit of hard work. I can't do big things. I have been doing sweeping, washing dishes, cooking and cooking since I was five or six years old. As long as you are willing to do things, there are not so many difficulties. Most importantly, my parents taught me patience, which is the treasure of life and an important strength for everyone. As the saying goes, patience is calm, but in fact, patience is not that simple. "forbearance" represents wisdom and strength, and represents the understanding of the world. I can accept, take responsibility, be responsible and resolve. This ability has different realms: forbearance, forbearance and forbearance.

When I was 1 years old, the July 7th Anti-Japanese War broke out. At an early age, I thought that I could join the guerrillas in the future. I have courage and a sense of justice. Of course, 1-year-olds are naive. My grandmother believed in Buddhism, so I followed her. At that time, I had never heard of Sakyamuni Buddha, only knowing that there was Guanyin's mother.

The second stage of my life was the period of becoming a monk and studying, and I spent it in a temple at the age of 12 to 2. Master handed me over to the senior monk, and I learned a lot. You are big and I am small, you are a big brother, I am a child, hey, there are many brothers who are willing to help me; You are wrong with me. You often say "I'm sorry, I was wrong". It turns out that it takes courage to admit mistakes, which is a virtue and can solve many problems; You are happy that I am bitter, and the hard life is happier.

2 to 3 years old, which I call the literary period. Did you find any problems when you listened to me? I'm tone-deaf. So up to now, the local accent has not changed, and I can't speak Mandarin well. I'm tone-deaf, not longer than chanting, so I'm going to write an article.

There is a Chinese teacher who gave a topic, "Bodhi can't directly show the theory of Prajna", which I still don't understand. I asked the senior to help me write a ghost letter and hand it in. The teacher commented: "Two orioles sing green willows and a row of egrets go up to the sky. "I'm still very proud, but someone told me that the teacher's comment on writing means I don't know what to say. Oh! However, I later learned from the teacher that students should be encouraged. Later, the teacher gave a topic and asked me to write "My hometown". I wrote about my hometown, Fairy Town, Yangzhou, and the teacher commented that "if the number of people is valuable, there is no point." That is to say, copying other people's ideas, not creating their own. I still thank my parents for their perseverance and being able to withstand setbacks and pressures. Later, some people criticized Buddhism, so I wrote articles, spoke out bravely, and vowed to be a defender of Buddhism.

if you can give up, you will get

3 to 4 years old, the period of protecting the law.

Buddhism should be accepted by people, not just empty talk, but give people confidence, hope, joy and convenience.

in the relationship between people, "giving" is very important, and people should be given confidence. Confidence is the source of morality; Confidence is the mother of public morality; There is infinite treasure in the door of confidence; Confidence is like a crutch to give people a sense of security; Confidence can make everything grow. We must have confidence in the world, the country and ourselves. If we have confidence, we will not lose heart and there will be hope.

giving people hope means giving people a way, and not blocking the road. For example, being poor is not terrible. Buddhism says impermanence, poverty is impermanence, and impermanence can be changed. Stupid, can also be changed. Give people hope, and there will be strength. Life will be better tomorrow.

give people joy. Ordinary people often give people troubles, blows and injuries. Now is the era of human development, with money, status and health, but it is useless to be unhappy. Joy is more important than money, love and status. Poverty is fun, and joy is wealth in the heart. I want to spread joy to the world.

it's convenient. Give people a service and help. The future society is a service society, and the service industry is very developed. Without service, it will shrink. The secret of getting rich is service, and it is very important to be willing to serve, sacrifice and contribute. I organized the International Youth Life Zen Camp in Taiwan Province, and a student from Peking University said, unfortunately, the time is too short, otherwise, we can talk about some profound Buddhist principles, such as giving. Giving is not easy to understand. It seems that giving is for people, but it is actually for yourself. If you don't give it to others, who will give it to you? If you are willing to give up, you can get it. On the other hand, we should be wise to do good deeds, give money to others, and others do bad things. It's not right to suck compassion.

Fate never misses people

I started to build Foguang Mountain at the age of 4.

At that time, many people criticized that we only held activities, only became attached, and could not make history. What is "making history"? Be valuable, contribute and have a career. I have built many temples in my life, but I don't want to be the abbot. This is my character. At that time, some young people just joined in. Well, let's create Foguang Mountain. At that time, I didn't think that I could do as much as I could, just thinking that I could let everyone eat and have a place to live. The fate of the world will not mislead people. If seeds are sown, they will germinate and grow. If you give people joy, they will give you joy.

Make history for Buddhism, run education, culture, charity and religious activities. I dare not attribute these to myself, but to everyone. Ten parties come and go, and * * * becomes ten things; Ten thousand people give ten thousand people a house, and they are all popular. At this time, some people still criticized, "light can build temples, but there is no learning!"

well, from the age of 5, start a philosophical life. Run a school newspaper, hold an academic conference, gather students and improve their knowledge.

In this process, I feel the beauty of Buddhism. What beauty? Four sentences from four classics.

in Hua Yan Jing, "Do not forget your initiative mind". This sentence is too good. I became a monk of my own free will. After so many setbacks in life, I never forget why I became a monk in the first place. Nowadays, young people are married, and when two people get along, there will always be places where they don't fit in. Their habits and ideas are different, and it doesn't matter if they are different. They seek common ground in differences and seek differences in the same. Originally, it was different. One was from Shannan and the other was from Haibei. As long as you never forget the original intention, the original vows of eternal love. Human feelings, love and friendship, Do not forget your initiative mind, will not regret. There are officials and businessmen here. When you have a hard time living and making money, you are willing as long as you don't forget why you started in the first place. Do not forget your initiative mind is power.

In the Vimalakīrti Classic, "an uninvited friend". Be an uninvited friend to the country and society, and do it automatically as much as you can.

"Constant Fate" comes from The Theory of Mahayana Faith. Religious issues must have unchangeable principles and a random character. Some small things, don't care, big things don't get confused.

"Let bygones be bygones", Eight Great Men's Awakening Classics. People have a problem. It's a sin not to remember grudges well and not to remember favors. During the Warring States period, Xin Lingjun helped Zhao win the battle, and Zhao Wang went to the suburbs to meet him. Xin Lingjun was very proud of himself. At this moment, his subordinates said to him, "There are people who can't forget, and there are people who can't forget; There are unknowable people and unknowable people. "Xin Lingjun thought, Oh, I saved Zhao, and I can't always take it to heart for such great kindness to others.

An upright Yangzhou person

Before I was 2 years old, I prayed for my wisdom. At the age of 3, I thought, no, so selfish, change, Buddha, bless my master, parents and believers to be healthy. At the age of 4, I feel wrong and selfish. My master, my parents and my followers are all blessed. What about others? Change it again, Buddha, and bless everyone happy and safe. At the age of 5, I feel wrong again. How can I leave so many difficulties to the Buddha? What do I do? So after 6 years old, pray to give me difficulties and responsibilities, and see if my disciples are qualified to serve you.

after I was 7 years old, I felt I had to repay my kindness. Unfortunately, my parents are gone, but I still have many apprentices, so I invite my disciples' parents and relatives to Foguang Mountain every year to hold a family meeting. Taking my parents in the world as my parents, I thank my parents for giving me a broad mind to go around the world.

Now I am over 8 years old, what do you want to do? Cross-strait peace and national reunification. In Taiwan Province, I was not recognized as a native of Taiwan Province, but I said I was from China. On the mainland, how can I be an outsider when I am said to be an outsider? I am an upright Yangzhou person!
