This is my first time staying in a hotel alone. After you go to the front desk to check in, will there be a waiter to take you to your room? Or go alone?

It depends on what hotel you are staying in.

The general procedure is:

1. After completing the check-in procedure at the front desk, the front desk will give you the room card. Most room cards are now magnetic cards. The magnetic card has your room number on it.

2. When you get on the elevator and reach the floor you are on, look at the schematic diagram of the room on the wall of the elevator or at the entrance of each floor.

3. Find the room you live in according to the direction shown on the diagram.

4. Use the magnetic card to open the room door and enter the room.

5. Insert the magnetic card into the power slot at the door to have electricity in the room.

Note: Ask at the front desk how to use the room card. The magnetic cards used in each hotel are different.

If you don't want to bother, when you leave the front desk, ask the front desk to notify the waiter to wait for you at the elevator door of the floor you are on and take you to your room.
