Is the origin of Shandong cuisine "nine turns to large intestine" actually related to "Buddhism"?

According to legend, during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, there was a "Jiuhua Building" restaurant in the north of Dongxiang, Jinan County. The boss's name is Du, and he is a wealthy businessman. He believed in Buddhism all his life and praised the Buddhist saying of "99 to 1".

Once, he went to a friend's house where he ate meat and drank the children's full moon wine. After drinking, his friend gave him an extra pig in the water in return. Back in Jiuhua Building, Du Jiuling called Chef Yu, and when the soup was thick, he added the other half of the medicinal materials, poured pepper oil, put the spoon on the plate, and sprinkled coriander segments, so that he could make a delicious sausage to taste.

The cook went back to the kitchen, thinking that after trying again and again, it was still not delicious. He went to the butcher's and bought some large intestine to continue cooking. He tried many times and finally made a large intestine dish with good color, fragrance, taste and shape. When Boss Du heard the news, he immediately rushed over, saw the bright and golden pig intestines in the plate, picked up a piece and put it in his mouth, even saying it was very delicious. He decided to invite business friends to taste this dish the next day and named it.

The next day, when the guests came to Jiuhua Building, the bartender started to serve some other dishes first. While the guests were waiting, the large intestine was served. After people tasted it, they all praised it for its delicious taste, but its name was unknown. An old friend at the same table knew that Boss Du believed in Buddhism and loved nine characters, so he suggested calling it "Jiuzhuan large intestine". This proposal drew applause and made boss Du very interested. Since then, this dish has become famous, popular in Jinan and spread all over Shandong, becoming a famous dish.
