Liu Hulan’s plot synopsis

In 1941, the Anti-Japanese War entered a difficult stalemate stage. In this terrifying atmosphere of Japanese rule, a stepmother, Hu Wenxiu, came to the Liu family. Neither Liu Hulan nor her sister wanted to accept her. The primary school in Yunzhou West Village was established. Hu Wenxiu sewed new clothes and a new schoolbag for Liu Hulan and let her go to school. Liu Hulan felt her mother's care and couldn't help but call out "Mom". The Japanese came to the village, closed the elementary school, and posted many notices and aggression slogans on the streets. Liu Hulan disguised herself as a boy, evaded the enemy's pursuit, and secretly tore off all the slogans. Liu Hulan completed the task well and reported the situation to the party organization in a timely manner. After Japan surrendered, the Kuomintang launched a civil war, and the cloud of war once again enveloped the land of China. Liu Hulan participated in a training class for women cadres organized by the party organization and learned many revolutionary principles, which strengthened her determination to revolution. In June 1946, Liu Hulan honorably joined the Communist Party of China.
