Dear teachers and classmates:

Hello everyone! Today, the title of my speech is "Saving Food, Starting from Me". Grain is the crystallization of the hard work of the farmer uncles, the fruit of the sweat shed by the farmer uncles. Walking into the canteen, the first thing that catches your eye is "Who knows that every grain of food on the plate is hard work." These obvious slogans about saving food. But how many people actually realize it and take action? In school, teachers often talk to us about the virtue of "saving food". However, during lunch, I still see many students who don't eat the dishes because they feel they are not to their liking because of their partial eclipse. There was a lot of food, but before I could take two bites, I took the plate out and threw it away. Not only in schools, but also in restaurants and big hotels, I also see a lot of food waste. In the restaurant, many people ordered a large table of dishes, and it seemed that they only drank a few drinks or wine. They spent most of the time chatting, and when they were done "eating", they stopped. A few napkins turned around and left, leaving a large table of uneaten dishes.

These behaviors and habits are bad. If everyone is like them, why do we need so much food? So what’s the point of the farmer uncle working so early in the morning and in the dark? Since you served so many dishes, you should be responsible for them and the farmer uncle. In a restaurant, I think you should have the right not to pack the remaining dishes on the table and take them home. You should know how many people in the world are suffering from the oppression of hunger. Every grain of rice and every grain of food is their desire for life.
