The difference between mounted police and traffic police

Traffic police, the full name of traffic police, belongs to a kind of police, and is mainly responsible for directing traffic, maintaining traffic order, correcting and punishing traffic violations, handling traffic accidents and maintaining road public order. Mounted police also belong to a kind of police. Although both mounted police and traffic police are equipped with mounts, they are not the same type.

Traffic police are mainly responsible for the guidance and planning of road traffic management, the re-determination of traffic accident responsibility, the evaluation of traffic accident disability and the determination of vehicle loss. Responsible for patrolling roads, correcting traffic violations, handling emergencies, maintaining traffic order, and cooperating with special circumstances to carry out security work when necessary.

Mounted police are mainly used to receive foreign guests and are equipped with special horses. There are more than 20 countries in the world, such as Britain, the United States, Canada and Australia. The United States has the largest number of mounted police units. Dalian, China successfully set up a patrol detachment mounted police brigade in June 1994+February19, and recruited 8 female mounted police officers in June 1996, thus establishing the first female mounted police team in China, which is known as "the first riding of China police flowers". Later, Mounted Police Teams were also established in Aershan, Wenzhou, Ningxia, Shenzhen and Baotou, which were mainly responsible for directing and diverting traffic, assisting in police affairs, and providing etiquette guards for large-scale events.
