Relevant survey data show that in recent years, the mental health of children and adolescents in China is facing severe challenges, especially the trend of depression is becoming more and more obvious, which has aroused widespread concern from all walks of life. Liu Qingfeng, chairman of Iflytek, said that Iflytek is committed to providing artificial intelligence support for the mental health of children and adolescents nationwide. As one of the three major products created by Iflytek Super Brain 2030 Project (2022-2023), "Iflytek Adolescent Depression Screening Platform" will help children and adolescents to conduct comprehensive screening based on technologies such as multimodal perception, understanding, natural dialogue and interaction according to the requirements of the Ministry of Education and the Health and Health Commission.

Building a screening platform for adolescent depression is inseparable from AI's exploration in brain science and brain-like research and research on depression knowledge. Liu Qingfeng said that Iflytek and Beijing Normal University jointly undertook the 2030 major project of "Brain Science and Brain-like Research", "Cohort Study on Brain Intelligence Development of School-age Children in China", and cooperated with Beijing Anding Hospital to build an authoritative multimodal knowledge base for depression, and carried out research on multimodal depression diagnosis and condition assessment based on voice and expression, which accumulated a rich technical foundation.
