This is a persistent problem that requires everyone's participation. In order to widely collect social knowledge and deeply understand the basic situation and behavior habits of citizens participating in ecological environmental protection, the China Association for the Promotion of Environmental Culture organized a survey on citizens' environmental protection behavior.

I. Investigation and development

The main content of this survey is to understand the basic situation and characteristics of China citizens' environmental protection behavior, and guide the whole society to establish the awareness of ecological civilization and actively participate in the construction of ecological civilization. This survey has laid a scientific foundation for promoting China's ecological civilization construction to a new level, especially for grasping and arranging the key points of the next ecological civilization propaganda work.

This survey has done a lot of research and investigation work. Before the establishment of the project, extensive preliminary research was carried out, and a scientific investigation and evaluation index system and investigation method were determined. A trial investigation was conducted, and the investigation plan was constantly adjusted and improved; Ask for expert opinions in the form of symposiums and seminars to ensure the scientific nature of the investigation and the reliability of the evaluation results.

Based on the citizen's environmental behavior practice, the dissemination of environmental protection ideas and the responsibility of beautiful China, this survey designed the evaluation index system and questionnaire. On the basis of field sampling survey, the online questionnaire system was opened, and a large number of survey data were analyzed and studied.

The survey was conducted in Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Chengdu, Wuhan, Zhengzhou, Xi, Harbin, Xining and Urumqi, and 5679 questionnaires were distributed. Finally, 45 10 questionnaires were collected, and 4363 valid questionnaires were collected, with an effective rate of 94.74%. Since the opening of the online survey channel on April 9th, 20xx, people from all walks of life have actively participated in it. The respondents covered 3/kloc-0 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government, and 5/kloc-0 copies of valid questionnaires were collected.

Second, the characteristics of the survey

On the basis of previous environmental and social investigation and study, the project team organized experts from environmental science, psychology, sociology, statistics and other fields to discuss and ensure the scientific index system and questionnaire; Second, solicit opinions from many parties, formulate research plans, and clarify the research objectives, research contents and time schedule; Thirdly, literature research is carried out to systematically sort out the development course and connotation of China citizens' environmental protection behavior.

(2) The sample has wide coverage and strong representativeness. The investigation of urban choice is typical and exemplary, covering the eastern, western, southern, northern and central regions, reflecting the characteristics of various types of cities, taking into account the level of urban economic development and some practices of ecological civilization construction, such as ecological civilized cities, resource-based cities and tourist cities. The questionnaire issued by each city covers at least 50% of the municipal districts and suburban counties; And fully consider the background factors such as gender, age, education level, occupation and monthly income difference of the respondents. For cities with a large rural population, according to? Equal number of male and female questionnaires? 、? Is the sampling age widely distributed? 、? (3) The investigation methods are diverse and the publicity effect is obvious. This survey is conducted in two ways: field survey and online survey. According to the characteristics of different groups, street follow-up, telephone, email, interviews and other survey methods were adopted. On the one hand, it helps to find out the true thoughts of the respondents and provide a better foundation for the authenticity of the investigation; On the other hand, through a variety of survey methods, the survey has a wider social influence and public participation.

Three. The main conclusions of the investigation

Through the analysis of the survey results, seven characteristics of China citizens' environmental protection behavior are obtained:

(a) citizens highly agree? Clear water and lush mountains are priceless wealth? Such as the concept of ecological civilization.

Citizens highly agree with China's achievements in the process of ecological civilization construction, and also have a clear understanding of their responsibilities in protecting the ecological environment and building a beautiful China. 66.88% of the respondents have discussed it in the past six months? Clear water and lush mountains are priceless wealth? The social atmosphere in which everyone, everything and time advocate and participate in the construction of ecological civilization is gradually formed.

(2) Simple and moderate, green and low-carbon consumption concept is deeply rooted in people's hearts, and environmental protection behavior is reflected in all aspects.

7 1.97% respondents will choose energy-saving appliances every time or often when buying household appliances; 69.04% of the respondents often give priority to green travel modes such as bus, bicycle or carpooling; 55.83% of the respondents often bring their own handbags or shopping bags when shopping; 72.70% of the respondents can spend moderately and reduce the purchase of non-essential items. It can be seen that most citizens have a high degree of recognition of practicing the concept of green consumption, which is integrated into all aspects of daily life, work and study, conforms to the requirements of a simple and moderate, green and low-carbon lifestyle, and opposes extravagance and unreasonable consumption.

(3) There are scene differences in citizens' environmental protection behavior, with the highest degree of practice in family activities, followed by public places and the worst in workplaces.

At home, the proportion of citizens' environmental behavior practice is 74.90%. The survey shows that 84. 19% of the respondents can do it? Turn off the lights when people leave? 79.85% of the respondents can accurately identify the classification label of domestic waste. In public places, 64.02% citizens practice environmental protection. The survey shows that 80.88% of the respondents can avoid littering and 70.25% can eat out? CD？ . In the workplace, the proportion of citizens practicing environmental protection behavior is 53.67%, and the survey found that 56.8 1% of the respondents can do it? Duplex printing? . It can be seen that there are significant differences in environmental protection behaviors of citizens, and it is urgent to compile a national guiding, targeted, grounded and operable code of conduct for citizens' ecological environment.

(4) Citizens' environmental protection behavior is mainly self-discipline, lacking the consciousness of influencing and supervising others.

Although 39.85% of the respondents paid attention to the news reports related to eco-environmental protection in the past six months, only 24.48% of the respondents participated in environmental protection voluntary activities and 22.5 1% donated environmental protection projects in the past six months. 28.40% of the respondents can protect wild animals in their daily lives, 34.84% can protect drinking water sources, and only 25.00% of the respondents will dissuade or notify the relevant departments when they find someone using wild animal products or eating wild animals around them. This shows that citizens' environmental protection behavior is mainly self-discipline, lacking the consciousness of influencing and supervising others, and most of them are related to their own interests. Citizens mainly passively participate in eco-environmental protection activities organized and publicized by government departments, and less actively participate in environmental protection activities that require time, energy or money, or have little to do with actual interests. The bridge function of environmental protection social organizations has not been fully exerted, and the communication channels between the government and the public are not smooth enough.

(5) TV broadcasting is still the main communication channel of ecological environmental protection, and new media forms are constantly emerging.

67.02% of the respondents like the popular science forms of TV and radio best; 5 1.62% of the respondents like the popular science forms of internet and short messages best; The proportion of popular science exhibitions, slogans or publicity activities is less than 30%. The intuitive form of popular science is loved by the general public. Citizens' participation in eco-environmental activities is increasingly dependent on online platforms. The proportion of citizens who actively disseminate and obtain information such as online and offline interaction, online search, and WeChat Weibo forwarding is relatively high, and new media is becoming one of the most important ways to publicize the science of ecological environmental protection in China.

(6) The environmental protection behavior of citizens is positively related to their education level, and the young and middle-aged groups perform best.

It is found that the influence of regional economic development level on citizens' environmental behavior practice is gradually weakening, regardless of family, public places or work and study, and the education level is related to the depth of citizens' participation in environmental behavior. For example, 52.06% of the respondents with master's degree or above have paid attention to eco-environmental news in the last six months, while only 27.78% of the respondents with primary school education or below have paid attention to it; 77.53% of the respondents with master's degree or above have donated money to environmental protection projects, while only 59.29% of the respondents with high school or technical secondary school education have donated money; 40.45% of the respondents with master's degree or above have complained about corporate pollution, while only 33.56% of the respondents with high school or technical secondary school education have complained. From the age division, young and middle-aged groups have played a more active role in the practice of environmental protection behavior, the spread of environmental protection concepts, and the role of beautiful China.

(7) Citizens' eco-environmental behavior practice is mostly out of a sense of responsibility and herd mentality, lacking initiative.

Most respondents attributed their eco-environmental behavior practice to? Social responsibility? And then what? I will do what everyone does. , accounting for 5 1. 18% and 25.58% respectively. It can be seen that the main factor of China citizens' eco-environmental behavior practice at present is social responsibility, but choose? Follow the crowd? The proportion of respondents is also relatively high, leading to initiative, interaction and? Easier said than done? problem

The investigation of citizens' environmental behavior has been completed. It should be noted that the results of social investigation are different from those of natural science, and the answer to the same question may change with different respondents and the same respondent at different times. On the basis of the previous work, the project team will continue to thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping's ecological civilization thought and the spiritual requirements of the National Ecological Environment Protection Conference, sum up experience, find out deficiencies, and make persistent efforts, so as to make contributions to improving the ecological civilization awareness of China citizens, promoting the construction of ecological civilization, strengthening ecological environment protection and building a beautiful China.
