Brief introduction of civil engineering department of Tsinghua University

The Department of Civil Engineering is one of the oldest departments in Tsinghua University. As early as 19 16, Tsinghua University (the predecessor of Tsinghua University) began to recruit students studying in the United States majoring in civil engineering. Tsinghua University established the undergraduate department in 1925 and the engineering department in 1926, including civil engineering, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering, which officially opened the history of the civil engineering department. 1928, Tsinghua University was renamed as "National Tsinghua University", with four colleges of arts, science, law and engineering, and six departments of civil engineering.
