With a history of more than 400 years, Gaozhou puppet show, known as "a hundred-year-old puppet, a new classic of the times", was listed as "the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage" by the State Council this year. Gaozhou singles have performed in France, Germany, Hong Kong and Macao, and they are very popular. Gaozhou puppet show has high artistic value in history, sociology, folklore, aesthetics and drama.
