Activity purpose
Through the investigation, data collection and analysis of speaking Putonghua and using nonstandard words in society, we can understand people's views on speaking Putonghua and using nonstandard words in this area and the seriousness of not speaking Putonghua and using nonstandard words. Enrich our humanistic quality, cultivate our social negotiation ability, and more importantly, let us understand the power of knowledge.

The main methods of our research activities are interviews and surveys. Take group responsibility, responsibility to people, group cooperation, overall inquiry and other activities.

Activity process
The operation began on February 8 and was divided into four stages.

Through investigation and interviews, we can understand people's views and opinions on the widespread use of nonstandard characters and their inability to speak Mandarin. The investigation started from February 15 and was divided into four groups.
The first group: headed by He Wenjun and Wei, located in the "32 1" area of Tongling City.
The second group: headed by Wang, Wu Mei, located in the area from No.5 Middle School to Sancha Road in Tongling City.
The third group, headed by Liu Shuwen and Huang Cheng, is located at the back door of Xiaozhongchang to Tongling No.5 Middle School.
The fourth group: headed by He and He Mali, the location is from Shizishan Primary School to Shizishan Copper Mine 1 Gate, Tongling City.
In the third stage (March1-March 14), write the investigation report.

1. Research background.
Now all countries pay attention to economic development and pay more attention to cultivating students' ability, such as social investigation and research. In life and production, there is also a process of interpersonal communication and adaptation between people and the environment.
But there are always some problems that affect us, making it difficult for us to live and produce smoothly and communicate with each other. For example, a large number of nonstandard words frequently appear, and Mandarin is not standard.
Vast territory and abundant resources is a basic national condition of our country, and dialects are of course diverse. It is imperative to popularize Putonghua. This not only facilitates communication, but also promotes the healthy development of China culture. The harm that nonstandard language brings to human beings is manifold. The doctor misdiagnosed it.
The frequent appearance of nonstandard characters is even more annoying, especially traditional Chinese characters. Directly affect our convenience. How much do we middle school students know about traditional Chinese characters? But traditional Chinese characters appear too much in advertisements and trademarks, which has a great influence on us.
Therefore, we launched an in-depth investigation and study centered on the Lion Mountain area. Understand the nonstandard words and expressions in society. Solve some problems within your ability.
Two. Composition of research group and election of leader
This semester, the school will carry out research-based learning activities in our junior one. We set up a group ourselves and then determine a suitable research topic.
We students who often participate in social practice activities and have strong hands-on ability, such as Wu Mei, Wang, Wei, He Mali, He Wenjun, Ding Ling, Huang Cheng, He, naturally combine together. As a result, the research team came into being.
In order to make this group more United and unified, and to avoid some unnecessary disputes in the process of investigation and research, we decided to elect a leader who can lead the whole group. So, everyone got together and voted for their own team leader. Wu Mei was elected leader of the group with 7 votes.
As soon as the team leader is created, a research group meeting will be held, and the activities of group responsibility, responsibility to people, group cooperation and overall inquiry will be adopted. On the basis of group discussion, a detailed activity plan was made.
Three. Investigation process
The main methods of our research activities are interviews and surveys. By interviewing workers, farmers, businessmen, teachers and other people in many aspects of society, we can understand their views on the frequent occurrence of irregular characters and their inability to speak Mandarin, and how to do a good job in popularizing standardized characters and Mandarin. By investigating the appearance of nonstandard words in society, we can know where nonstandard words generally appear and which words appear more frequently.
Our investigation started on February 5th, 2005, and was divided into four groups.
The first group: He Wenjun and Wei interviewed and investigated the nonstandard characters in "32 1" area of Tongling City. They visited the street of "32 1", collected nonstandard words, interviewed people from all walks of life and listened to their opinions. Then sort out the data and opinions.
The second group: Wang, Wu Mei interviewed and investigated the nonstandard characters in Tongling No.5 Middle School to Sancha Road. This paper investigates some advertisements, trademarks and some nonstandard characters such as typos, traditional characters and simplified characters on house numbers, and interviews some citizens' views on not speaking Mandarin.
The third group: Liu Shuwen and Huang Cheng went to Tongling No.5 Middle School "From Small Farm to Back Door" to interview and investigate irregular figures. I visited some vendors, teachers, students and so on. I also visited some streets and recorded all those irregular words.
The fourth group: He and He Mary went to interview to investigate the use of nonstandard words. The location is from Shi Kuang Primary School in Shizishan District of Tongling City to Gate 1 of Shizishan Copper Mine. They visited some representative places, recorded irregular words, and interviewed the public's views on not speaking Mandarin. Through investigation and interview, I learned people's views and opinions on the widespread use of nonstandard characters and their inability to speak Mandarin.

The public's views on using nonstandard writing and not speaking Putonghua can be summarized as follows:
1, the appearance of nonstandard words:

D Most people think that what they write is none of our business.
There are many people who can't speak Mandarin. China is made up of 56 ethnic groups, so there are many dialects in our country. If people don't speak Mandarin, it will make communication very inconvenient, and in some special cases, it will cause some mistakes and lead to a series of very serious consequences.
(2) Problems
Through this activity, we found some problems that can not be ignored.
1, nonstandard characters (especially traditional Chinese characters) are widely used in society and have great harm;
A. At the Apple Clothing Store in the southwest corner of the Bell Tower, the reporter questioned why the word "apple" was written as "apple". The cashier in the store told reporters that many people thought it was a typo. In fact, the Apple brand is registered with this "Apple". Their "Apple" is to distinguish it from another Apple brand.
B, Shanghai Metro is willing to suffer huge economic losses because it refuses to publish traditional Chinese light box advertisements. Shen, deputy general manager of Shanghai Metro Advertising Company, revealed that not long ago, a mineral water enterprise requested to publish their advertisement and reached a preliminary intention. But manager Shen found three traditional Chinese characters in their advertisement and asked them to modify them. However, since six of the 65,438+00 films that customers have made have been completed, if they modify these films, the cost of remaking these films will be too high. Finally, the customer said angrily, "They are too serious." In a rage, I gave up my plan to put advertisements on the subway. It is reported that the customer's advertising position is at People's Square Station on Line 1, and the advertising price of light box in this position is the highest, with a price of 6.5438+0.2 million yuan a year. In this way, the three traditional Chinese characters "smashed" the business of 654.38+0.2 million yuan.
2. The social atmosphere of speaking Mandarin is not strong enough;
From our answers in the survey and our daily life, we can see that few people speak Mandarin. It can be seen that the socialized atmosphere of speaking Mandarin has not yet formed, and people's concept of speaking Mandarin needs to be guided urgently.
3. Some people have misunderstandings in speaking Mandarin:
Take our class for example. Some students speak nonstandard Mandarin because their dialects are very strong. They are embarrassed to speak Mandarin for fear of making mistakes. Over time, they are not used to speaking Mandarin.

1. Government departments should make greater efforts to promote Putonghua and use standardized words.
2. Schools should also attach importance to teaching, and teachers should use Mandarin.
3. Parents and communities should also create a good atmosphere for speaking Mandarin.

We advocate that the general public, especially middle school students, should use Putonghua. We call for the use of Putonghua throughout the country, which will make our motherland more prosperous and beautiful.

For more than 3,000 years, most ancient books in China have used traditional Chinese characters. Traditional Chinese characters have made outstanding contributions to the accumulation and dissemination of cultural knowledge. But traditional Chinese characters have two characteristics: first, it is difficult to write; Second, it's hard to remember. This "dilemma" is that traditional Chinese characters can't keep up with the times. Therefore, China began to advocate simplified characters.

We have gained a lot in this research-based learning activity, and at the same time, we have exercised our eloquence, which makes us feel the feelings of small reporters.
In our interview, some people are unwilling to accept our interview. I think this is a bad behavior. They should be interviewed by us. I think this is a bad behavior, because we didn't get their opinions and suggestions, and they didn't exercise their eloquence. Interviewees can let us get their opinions and suggestions, and at the same time let them exercise their eloquence. In our investigation, we know that the highest frequency of typos is "dang", the highest frequency of traditional Chinese characters is "Shida" and the highest frequency of simplified Chinese characters is "Ding". Many people can speak Mandarin, but some people are unwilling to learn their dialects if they can't change or learn.
We should all learn Mandarin. Everyone speaks Mandarin. No typos, no traditional characters, no abbreviations. Write only standard words. Let's work hard!
Experience (He Wenjun)
I was very happy when we discussed this topic. Because I think this topic is very simple. I think this topic must be very simple, and there must be few irregular words. And now most people speak Mandarin, so this project must be easy to complete. So, I want to finish it with a happy mood. But when I investigated, I found that there were many nonstandard words, especially traditional Chinese characters. It took us a long time to find irregular words. And during the interview, some people didn't cooperate. Despite our repeated attempts to persuade them, they still refused to give us an interview. There are still a few people interviewed by us, but they can't speak Mandarin. Some people even think it's none of his business. This makes me feel that the quality of people now is not very high. Quality education is very important.
In addition to the above, I have another experience, which is a word: tired. But that's just physical fatigue, not mental fatigue, but I feel very relaxed because I successfully completed this task. Moreover, this is also a kind of harvest. I not only know the influence of nonstandard writing and not being able to speak Mandarin on society, but also know its importance.
Research experience (Wu Mei)
Through this research study activity, we all benefited a lot. In the past, we just read books and never cared about what happened in society. What a group of bookworms who "don't listen to things outside the window, just read sage books". But this activity is a new experience.
In our investigation, my team member Wang and I divided into a group to investigate. We interviewed many people. Although many people cooperated with our activities, some people did not. They all turned us down before we asked questions. Others claimed that they didn't have time, and even drove us away directly. For example, our group met a middle-aged man in an interview. Just after we finished our goal, he turned us down and said, "You'd better find someone else." But we didn't give up, and still patiently explained to him, "We just kept you for a few minutes and asked you a few simple questions." But he still ignored us. So, we explained: "We just want to ask you, what do you think about the frequent occurrence of irregular words and many people don't use Mandarin?" He said, "What does this have to do with me?" "Our question is related to some phenomena around people, and it should not be difficult to answer. And it doesn't matter if the answer is not good. What matters is your valuable opinion, just say it. " Perhaps moved by our sincerity, his attitude changed obviously and he accepted our interview. So we succeeded.
There are still many such problems in our investigation, but we have overcome them. Although this investigation is very hard, it is a new experience and new study for us.
Through this survey, I know that there is a special emotion between people, that is trust. Therefore, we should grasp it well and exert its greatest strength to make people more United and friendly.
Experience (Wang)
Through this activity, I learned a lot, such as the friendship between classmates and the feelings between classmates. We have nothing to do from the beginning, but now we care about each other, and the friendship between good friends has deepened step by step.
During our investigation, I was the team leader Wu Mei. At that time, I was very happy and cherished this opportunity. When we want to ask everyone, we always have to assign tasks step by step. On the way, we asked an old man. I don't know why, but he doesn't want to be interviewed by us. When we asked an old lady, she didn't want to be interviewed by us. I think our quality is generally not high now, but compared with before, our quality is definitely improved. I think, in the future, people's quality will continue to improve, so we should continue to work hard and strive to do well every day.
In the process of investigation, we rushed around the streets and asked many people. At the end of the day, we were all exhausted and panting, but we seemed to bring a little joy. I think it's because we really did our best!
In fact, I didn't speak Mandarin before, and I often wrote typos. In my composition, I can see many typos at a glance, but after this activity, I will try harder to speak Mandarin and try harder to eliminate typos.
I think I can do it and I can do it well. I also appeal here, hoping that everyone can use Mandarin, so that the motherland will be better!
