Changxing Town is located on the north bank of Weihe River in the northeast of the county seat, 0/5km away from the county seat/kloc-,and it is the transportation hub and material distribution center of the county seat. The township consists of a new town (railway station) and an old town (Changxing town), and 32 street lamps have been installed. The total population of the township is 96 15, of which the non-agricultural population is 26 14, and the built-up area is 1.2 square kilometers. The ancient town, formerly known as Changhuying, was named after the Ming generals Chang Yuchun and Hu Dahai once camped here. During the Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty, it was renamed Changxing Town, which is said to mean "long-term prosperity". After liberation, from 1950- 1958, Weibei District (Sishang Formation, Yaoshang Administrative Village, Yao Xi Town), Changxing Town, Changxing Town and Satellite People's Commune were established here one after another. 1958, after the merger of Zhoumeihe County, Changxing area was transferred to Fengxiang County and changed to Changxing District of caijiapo People's Commune. 196 1 year1October, Changxing returned to Meixian and established Changxing People's Commune. More than 20,000 square meters of public buildings such as department stores, commercial buildings, Changxing hotels and comprehensive trade markets have been newly built. There are 82 enterprises and institutions in the township, including Shaanxi Carbon Factory, Shaanxi Changxing Nitrogen Fertilizer Factory, County Baby Carriage Factory, Steel Tube Furniture Factory, Changxing Plastic Weaving Factory, County Materials, Department Stores, Medicinal Materials, Means of Production, Timber, Grain, Native Products, Coal, Petroleum, Industrial Comprehensive Company, Baoji Gorge Liu Jiayuan Management Station, etc. There are also supply and marketing cooperatives, grain stations, police stations, courts, post and telecommunications sub-offices and banks, industry and commerce, finance, tax offices and other units in the new town, which are distributed in T-street and farmers' market on the south side of the station.
