Introduction to Wangwu Xiancao

Wangwuxiancao, also known as oryx, iceberg, etc., is a perennial herb or subshrub of the family Lamiaceae. Wangwu Xiancao is a medicinal plant naturally distributed in loam or sandy loam soil at an altitude of 200 to 1,000 meters in Wangwu Mountain at the southernmost tip of the Taihang Mountains. After every frost, the above-ground parts of the grass rhizomes are covered with thin ice as thin as cicada wings, which does not melt in the sun or fall in the wind and sand. It is still a mystery to this day and is known as the "Wangwu Fairy Grass". . It is a national geographical indication protected product. It tastes bitter and is slightly cold in nature. It is rich in 36 kinds of effective medicinal ingredients and has the effects of clearing away heat, detoxifying, anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti-tumor. It is included in the "Encyclopedia of Chinese Native Products" and "Chinese People's Republic of China and Chinese Pharmacopoeia" respectively. There is a saying in Wangwu Mountain that people who come here are all immortals, and grass that comes here is medicine.
