High humidity is beneficial to the reproduction of various pathogenic microorganisms and parasites, increasing the incidence rate and aggravating the condition of pigs. Pigs are prone to scabies, eczema and other skin diseases, as well as epidemic infectious diseases such as piglet paratyphoid, piglet dysentery, swine fever and erysipelas. Don't wash the pigsty floor with water.

Even if the floor must be washed, it must be done on a sunny day with good ventilation, so that the air and the floor can be dried as soon as possible.

Keep indoor ventilation

Increase the window area: increase the ventilation inside and outside the house;

Adding French windows: French windows have more obvious ventilation effect than upper windows, because the wind passing through French windows blows directly to the ground, which makes it easier to evaporate water;

Use materials with good hygroscopicity, such as quicklime.

Some people may say that quicklime will give off heat, which can increase the indoor temperature, and it is not suitable for use in pig houses in summer; The advantages of using quicklime outweigh the disadvantages. First, the heat generated by quicklime is very small, which will not significantly increase the indoor temperature; Secondly, after the air is dry, the sow inhales dry air, which is more conducive to the loss of heat in the body. That is, as we said before, high temperature and low humidity will not kill the sow, but the sow will die when the temperature is not so high but the humidity is high.
