Water source protection and management measures include first-class protected areas and second-class protected areas.

First of all, protected areas

1. It is forbidden to build, rebuild or expand construction projects unrelated to water supply facilities and water source protection in the first-class protection zone of drinking water sources; Construction projects that have been completed and have nothing to do with water supply facilities and water source protection shall be ordered to be dismantled or closed by the people's governments at or above the county level.

It is forbidden to engage in breeding, tourism, swimming, fishing or other activities that may pollute drinking water bodies in the first-class protected areas of drinking water sources.

2. It is forbidden to sand and borrow soil from rivers in the first-class protected areas of drinking water sources. The local water department urged to backfill the excavated bunker in a harmless way.

3. It is forbidden to dump or pile up industrial waste residue, municipal solid waste, feces and other harmful wastes in the first-class protected areas.

4. It is forbidden to transport sewage through the channels, pipelines and oil pipelines in the first-class protected areas.

5. It is forbidden to set up sewage outlets in the first-class protected areas of drinking water sources. The existing sewage outlets shall be ordered to be dismantled or closed by the people's governments at or above the county level.

6. It is forbidden to discharge industrial and domestic wastewater into rivers in the first-class protected areas of drinking water sources.

Two protected areas

1. It is forbidden to build, rebuild or expand construction projects that discharge pollutants in the secondary protection zone of drinking water sources; The people's governments at or above the county level shall order the completed construction projects that discharge pollutants to be dismantled or closed.

Engaged in aquaculture, tourism and other activities in the two protected areas of drinking water sources, measures should be taken in accordance with the provisions to prevent pollution of drinking water bodies.

2, it is forbidden to dump garbage, industrial waste residue and other harmful wastes into the river in the two protected areas.

3. It is forbidden to build new sewage outlets in the two-level protected areas of drinking water sources. The existing sewage outlets shall be ordered to be dismantled or closed by the people's governments at or above the county level.

5. The municipal and county people's governments shall lead the environmental protection and management of drinking water source protection areas within their respective administrative areas and be responsible for the environmental quality of drinking water source protection areas.
