In 2007, Stephanie joined EMI Records. In order to show the perfect ending of the previous stage and the take-off of the next stage, this album was named Backlight.

"Never give up" is the theme of this album. In order to reflect this theme, the MV crew went to Egypt to shoot and take photos, and borrowed the harsh environmental characteristics of Egypt to experience the profound feeling of "never giving up" conveyed by backlight.

Going to Egypt to shoot the MV Backlight is extremely difficult behind the scenes. Stephanie, wearing a vest and short skirt, is running wildly in the desert of 13 degrees, and every time she shoots Stephanie's MV, she always makes a "running" action, which makes Stephanie unbearable.

In the Sahara desert of North Africa, the weather changes incredibly fast. Stephanie wore a white vest and skirt in front of the camera, but in the next scene, Stephanie shivered coldly and immediately wrapped herself up. Her colleagues teased her for wrapping herself up like a local Muslim woman. ?
