"Dong! Knock on the door. Hey! " In the early morning of June 22, with the sound of electric drill, Denglong Community of Manjiang Street demolished an illegal self-built house in its jurisdiction according to law.

On the morning of the same day, the staff of Manjiang Sub-district Office and relevant administrative law enforcement officers came to Denglong Village. After reading out the demolition decision, they inspected the houses in turn. After confirming that there was no one in the house, the law enforcement officers pulled up a cordon around the house, placed warning signs and began to forcibly demolish the house.

The illegal building, with a total area of about 800 square meters, was built by the householder without obtaining the construction project planning permit. According to the first paragraph of Article 40 of People's Republic of China (PRC) Urban and Rural Planning Law, this building is illegal.

After finding out the situation, Dali City Management Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Bureau successively issued the Decision of Ordering the Demolition of Illegal Buildings within a Time Limit and the Reminder of Demolishing Illegal Buildings within a Time Limit. After the independent demolition of illegal buildings fails, a compulsory execution decision shall be made according to law.

Due to the narrow roads in the village, it is difficult for large-scale demolition equipment to enter, and affected by site and environmental factors, the house can only be demolished manually, and it is estimated that it will take more than 20 days to completely complete the demolition.

Manjiang Street has always attached great importance to the management of single buildings within its jurisdiction, and held several meetings to promote the investigation and rectification of single buildings, with strict requirements and high standards, and comprehensively cleaned up and investigated the buildings related to households under construction. Up to now, Manjiang Street has completed the investigation of 8492 self-built houses, including 3759 self-built houses for business and 4733 self-built houses for non-business.

In the next step, the Manjiang Sub-district Office will strictly implement the spirit of the Minutes of the Meeting on Renovation of Illegal Buildings in the Central City of Dali, take high-pressure measures, continue to strengthen the household management of single buildings in its jurisdiction, and seriously investigate and deal with looting and theft of buildings in violation of policies and regulations. At the same time, strengthen joint law enforcement, intensify inspections, and severely crack down on illegal construction.
