How to Cultivate Children's Reading Habits in Mountainous Rural Areas
First, reading becomes a course.
Half the students in our class were left behind. These children have a poor sense of learning, and reading mainly depends on the classroom. In order to complete the teaching task in class, the teacher simply doesn't have much time for students to read. Students are keen on participating in colorful extracurricular activities, so how can they have time to study? When I got home at the weekend, I had already forgotten my study and had no time and energy to study. Parents of students in rural areas are under great pressure, most of them live hard and have little leisure time. Even if I have time, I can't help students with their studies because of my own quality. Even some parents have time to watch TV or play mahjong. What children are exposed to is not learning to read, but doing nothing, naturally following the trend, and students' extracurricular reading is impossible. Chinese Curriculum Standard requires primary school students to read no less than 654.38+0.45 million words after class and recite 654.38+0.60 excellent poems (paragraphs). How to achieve this? I decided to take extracurricular reading as a course in my class and do a good job in reading activities.
1. Create a book corner and build a reading platform.
Students' reading resources are limited, so it is urgent to provide them with a reading platform. I created the class book corner by donating books, buying books and borrowing books. Giving books is to mobilize teachers and students to give the books they have read to the class collective; Buying books is to mobilize students to donate their pocket money for a week and raise the money from recycling waste products in the class to buy new books. Borrowing books means borrowing a batch of books from the school library on a regular basis, and then changing books after reading them.
2, fixed time, reading a complete set of roads
Every day from 8: 50 to 9: 00, 10 is the morning meeting time of our school. These 20 minutes are often used for daily safety education. I thought: Why not infiltrate safety education into subject education and spend these precious 20 minutes on reading? Moreover, in the morning, people are clear-headed and quick-thinking, and reading during this period can be guaranteed, so I set the reading time in the class at 8: 50 to 9: 00 every morning.
3. Set goals and standardize reading activities.
For most primary school students, they have no reading plan. They read books they like and never care about books they don't like. When reading a book, I skim it, rarely look at it with questions, and I am only interested in the story without consciously collecting it. The purpose is the pillar. Reading without thinking is like eating without digesting. I recommend different books to students according to their interests, hobbies, moods, moods and reading abilities, and guide them to absorb the excellence of different books. When reading fables, idiom stories, historical stories or biographies of celebrities with educational significance, students should learn the spiritual qualities of the characters in the book and feel the profound truth in the book; When reading excellent literary works, students should be guided to accumulate good words and sentences, recite beautiful fragments and learn the author's writing methods; When reading popular science works, let students connect with life, pay attention to observation, and apply what they have learned ... and make corresponding reading notes according to different books to prepare for various reading report activities. In the long run, students will study purposefully and selectively according to their own needs, and they can clearly know what to learn in different books!
Second, teachers and students read together.
To cultivate students' good reading habits, teachers should set an example, take the lead in reading and set an example.
1, guiding simultaneous reading
Primary school students have poor reading ability. Only by giving full play to the guiding role of teachers can students learn, read and learn well. If students are not given any guidance in reading, even if they study, they may mostly stay in reading books with more pictures, such as cartoons, jokes and brain teasers. Because this kind of books and pictures have more words and fewer words, they have not brought substantial help to students and can not meet the requirement of "accumulating language materials obtained in extracurricular reading and life" in Chinese curriculum standards. So in this case, the teacher's guiding role is reflected. I use reading time to guide students to read purposefully, instruct them how to read well, how to make reading notes according to different books, and regularly let students exchange their reading experiences and publications, and share what they have read with you through storytelling, so that students can enjoy it.
2. Presentation in the same reading
To give students a bowl of water, you must first have a bucket of water. Now, a bucket of water is far from enough. Nowadays, students don't want to worship their teachers blindly. If you want to conquer them, you must first have your own charm. Otherwise, all your efforts will be in vain. Therefore, when you ask students to read, you should first "read widely", at least you must finish reading the book you introduced to them, so that you can know how this book is, whether it is good or not, and whether it is worth reading.
Third, activities promote reading.
After students master knowledge, especially after learning something new outside class, they always want to show it to their classmates. Therefore, I seize this psychological characteristic of students, and hold various reading report activities during the morning reading class every day: reading meeting, reading meeting, story meeting, report meeting, speech contest, essay contest, masterpiece knowledge contest, textbook drama performance, reading star selection ... Such activities not only test the achievements of students' reading activities, but also make students feel satisfied with the encouragement of various activity reports, which enhances their reading interest and accumulates.

Interest has a magical internal driving effect on learning, which can turn ineffectiveness into effectiveness and inefficiency into efficiency.
