The newly revised Law on Animal Epidemic Prevention will come into effect on May 1, in which Article 30 mentions that dogs should wear dog tags when taking them out of the house, and take measures such as leashing dogs according to regulations to prevent dogs from injuring people and spreading diseases.

Previously, there have been many cases in which dogs were taken away because they were not tied. Afterwards, even if the host shouted "I have a certificate, I have a rope", it didn't help.

The Law on Animal Epidemic Prevention not only requires dogs to walk on leashes, but also requires dog-raising units and individuals to regularly vaccinate against rabies according to regulations, and apply for registration with the local dog-raising registration agency with the immunization certificate issued by the animal clinic.

Failing to vaccinate dogs against rabies regularly according to the regulations, the competent agricultural and rural departments of the local people's governments at or above the county level shall order them to make corrections within a time limit and may impose a fine of not more than 1,000 yuan.

If no correction is made within the time limit, a fine of not less than 1,000 yuan but not more than 5,000 yuan shall be imposed, and the competent agricultural and rural departments of the local people's governments at or above the county level shall entrust animal clinics and harmless treatment sites to handle it on their behalf, and the expenses required shall be borne by the violator.

Article 30 of the Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) on Animal Epidemic Prevention stipulates that units and individuals shall regularly vaccinate against rabies according to the regulations, and apply for registration with the local dog registration agency on the basis of the immunization certificate issued by the animal clinic.

If you take a dog out of the house, you should wear a dog tag and take measures such as tying the dog rope in accordance with the regulations to prevent the dog from hurting people and spreading diseases.

Neighborhood offices and people's governments at the township level shall organize and coordinate residents' committees and villagers' committees to control and dispose of stray dogs and cats within their respective jurisdictions to prevent the spread of epidemics.

The people's governments at the county level, the people's governments at townships and sub-district offices shall, in light of local conditions, do a good job in the epidemic prevention management of dog-raising in rural areas.

Specific measures for dog epidemic prevention management shall be formulated by provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government.
