Legend of Guo Dashan

When I first arrived in Tibetan areas, I was full of curiosity about everything. Kangding is my first stop in Tibetan areas. As soon as you enter the slippery city of Kangding, you are surrounded by various legends and beautiful stories, such as Dajian Lu, Paoma Mountain, Zheduo Mountain, the beautiful legend of Princess Bridge, and the Kangding love song that makes people daydream as soon as they hear it. ... All of this is exciting, but what surprises me most is the legend of Guo Dashan.

According to legend, during the Three Kingdoms period, the Han people and the Tibetans were at war for a long time, and the people suffered terribly. In order to provide a peaceful environment for the people to live and work in peace and contentment, Zhuge Liang negotiated with the King of Tibet in Qiongzhou and asked the King of Tibet to withdraw from the territory. Zhuge Liang said to the King of Tibet, I will shoot an arrow, and you will retreat as far as the arrow hits. The King of Tibet did not know that Zhuge Liang had already plotted against him, and thought that the arrow would not be able to shoot very far, so he agreed to Zhuge Liang. In fact, before the negotiation, Zhuge Liang asked his subordinate General Guo Da to ride a thousand-mile horse, hold an arrow identical to the one Zhuge Liang shot, and run towards the Tibetan area. The farther he could run, the better. There was no place where he could not run. Wherever it moves, stick the arrow. General Guo Da ran hundreds of miles away. When he reached Zongzha Mountain in the northeast of Kangding City, he was exhausted. General Guo Da fell into a coma after inserting an arrow on the top of Zongzha Mountain. After that, he and his horse rolled away. Xia Shan Ya died a heroic death. Later, Zhuge Liang and the King of Tibet sent their men to find the arrow shot by Zhuge Liang on the top of Zongzha Mountain. Finally, the King of Tibet withdrew to the area outside Zongzha Mountain (to the west) as agreed. Later, in order to commemorate General Guo Da, people changed Zongzha Mountain to Guo Da Mountain. Later, people made a special iron arrow and inserted it in the place where General Guo Da inserted his arrow to commemorate General Guo Da. Until now, the special iron arrow is still inserted in Guo Da Mountain.
