Paralympic logo

The first Paralympic Games was held in Rome on 1960, but the logo was not determined until the Summer Paralympic Games held in Seoul, South Korea on 1988. 1988, the emblem consisting of five interconnected "yin and yang fish" was first used at the Seoul Paralympic Games.

1989 the international paralympic Committee was established, and this figure officially became the symbol of the international paralympic Committee. The design mainly refers to the "Yin and Yang Fish" in Tai Chi patterns commonly used in East Asian countries, and refers to the layout of the Olympic rings in design form, and combines the "Yin and Yang Fish" into a five-ring arrangement.

1March, 1992, the Paralympic Games dropped two "yin and yang fish" on the basis of the old version of the logo, leaving only three red, blue and green ones. Then the Lillehammer Winter Olympics officially opened on 1994. This version of the logo has been used until the end of the 2004 Athens Summer Paralympics.

Since the 2006 Torino Paralympic Winter Games, the existing emblem ("Agitos") has been officially put into use. In this version, the original three fish of yin and yang, red, blue and green, are changed into three ribbons, symbolizing people's mind, body and spirit.
