The slogan "Strike local tyrants and divide their fields" first appeared in Wenjia City in 1927. Starting from March 1928, Mao Zedong officially launched the revolutionary struggle of "fighting the local tyrants and dividing the land" in Zhongcun, Linxian County, using Zhongcun as a pilot project.
