He is Wu Mengyuan, vice chairman of the Student Union of Nanchang University. When we have never met before, the subconscious often classifies such characters as chairman as serious, cold and ignorant of fireworks. However, when I saw him coming up from under the stairs, he swaggered, the corners of his trench coat swung back and forth with his body, and his clean hair stood firm in the wind. When we looked at each other, his deep eyes in the black box seemed to be looking at something and could not figure it out.

"There is no destiny that can be conquered without contempt, endurance and struggle." Wu Mengyuan quoted such a famous saying to motivate himself. Just like his motto, firmness, forbearance, diligence and hard work have made him who he is now.

When he first entered the university, Wu Mengyuan spoke on behalf of the freshmen of the Faculty of Science at the 214 orientation meeting and opening ceremony (undergraduate and graduate school). He won many awards and was successfully elected as the vice chairman of Nanchang University Student Union in the fifth student congress of Nanchang University in 216-217.

out of love for sports, Wu Mengyuan joined the sports department of the college when he entered school. From the grass-roots ministries to becoming a member of the presidium of the school, the time and energy spent between them can be imagined. Without boasting and complacency, he only had a short sentence: "Like everyone else, I started from the ministries and stuck to it step by step." Perseverance can make a drop of water wear away the stone. Working in the sports department is always filled with many trivial things. From the preparation stage in the early stage to the summary stage in the later stage of each activity, students in the sports department are always busy, and staying up all night has become the norm. It is through their efforts that the activities can be carried out orderly and smoothly. It is also in the planning and holding of activities that Wu Mengyuan has been transformed into an excellent student union president.

Huang Biyun said that if one day we lost ourselves in the crowd and wasted our lives, it's because we didn't try our best to live a full life. There is always a time when you can't finish your work. You don't give up easily, but use more energy to grope for progress. During the preparation of the student congress, Wu Mengyuan was in charge of the proposal work of the student congress. Due to lack of experience, all things can only be achieved through constant meetings and discussions and constant revisions.

We envy all the honors he has won, but we can't see the hardships behind him that are not humane. Wu Mengyuan was mainly responsible for modeling when he participated in the mathematical modeling competition for American college students, so he spent half a winter vacation in school for training. In order to save time, he moved his dormitory directly to Tianjian Garden. However, the water and electricity in the room were cut off, and the cold and hard conditions often made him wake up in the middle of the night. However, these difficulties did not stop him and give up halfway. No one in this world is easier than anyone else, but some people care about heaven and earth, and some people stick to it silently. He overcame these obstacles with his persistent perseverance, and finally achieved good results in the international second prize.

Excellence is an adjective that is never limited. While completing the work, Wu Mengyuan also did not forget his job as a student. Using spare time to study, he also has a clear plan for his future. Because his major is financial mathematics, he also hopes to work in a venture capital company through hard work. And in the summer vacation, he also studied TOEFL hard and tried to go abroad for further study. He admits that although he feels very busy, he is very fulfilling and fruitful in his busyness.

Wu Mengyuan is a person who can never stop. When he was a sophomore, he was going to study abroad. When he saw the project of teaching, he resolutely gave up his plan to go to Britain for exchange, and immediately told his parents that he would teach and give his love. He took advantage of his holiday to join a research group for teaching in Guizhou. The life of the education group has given him a deeper meaning to poverty and backwardness. Now whenever he sees seven or eight-year-old children in the street, it always reminds him of that time. A fire broke out in the village where he taught last year, and half of the hillside was seriously damaged. During the visit, he learned that some families affected by the disaster can only set up a simple tent on the ground and dig holes to set up cauldrons everywhere. This is the daily life of people in mountainous areas. During the period of teaching in Guizhou, a slogan written in white paint "Go to work after junior high school" deeply touched Wu Mengyuan. He realized that his responsibility was to change their deep-rooted ideas and not let their children drop out of school early. They should be able to enjoy college life like themselves. During the teaching period, accommodation has become the biggest problem. Boys sleep in the office, and girls put tables together in the classroom to make a bed. Although the working environment is extremely harsh and the task is arduous, he is very happy. He said, "It has always been my dream to teach in the mountains." Although it was only a short month, he showed the children there the outside world and tried his best to help them. Until now, Wu Mengyuan still pays attention to these children.

When talking, Wu Mengyuan is always modest and polite, with a faint brilliance from the inside out, elegant and calm. Serious and rigorous in work, but simple and casual in life. Flowers, birds, fish and insects, aquaculture and so on are all his hobbies. Whenever time is plentiful, he always chooses to relax himself by traveling. During the trip, he can see the outside world and feel the culture and charm of different cities, which makes him gain a lot. When asked what advice he had for freshmen who had just joined the Student Union, he expressed the hope that all the younger brothers and sisters would try their best to stick to whatever they did and adjust their time allocation in study and work. Mainly academic, slowly growing, able to withstand loneliness. Through four years of college, I have gained something and grown up.

if there are bandits and gentlemen, they will be as incisive as discussion and as polished as grinding. The experience of the past three years is the process of his transformation.
