Wenruitang River is located in Wenrui Plain, south of Oujiang River and north of Feiyun River, which is a very important river system in our city. The water source mainly comes from Quxi, Xiongxi, Guoxi and mountain streams of Daluo Mountain and Jiyun Mountain. It was dug manually in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, dredged on a large scale in the years of Tang Dahe and Huichang, and then built by Shenshu, Zhizhou, in the 14th year of Chunxi in the Southern Song Dynasty, forming an "8-mile lotus pond", which is an important symbol of the characteristics of Wenzhou's landscape city. The main channel of Wenruitang River was called Nantang River in ancient times, and Qiputang River in Ming and Qing Dynasties. It starts from Xiaonanmen Yuejin Bridge in Lucheng District in the north, flows through Wudan, Baixiang, Fanyou, Hekoutang, Tangxia, Xincheng and Jiuli in the south, and then reaches Baiyan Bridge at the east gate of Ruian City in the west, with a total length of 33.85 kilometers. At normal water level, the width of the river surface is generally 5 meters, and the widest point is 2 meters. The criss-crossing river system of Wenruitang River plays a very important role in flood control, drainage, water supply, shipping, irrigation, landscape and ecological environment protection in our city, especially in the economic and social development of Wenrui Plain, which is called "mother river" by Wenzhou people.

On a certain day of a certain month, an environmental protection investigation team conducted a questionnaire survey on the environmental protection problems of Wenruitang River, but the survey results were quite unexpected: 43.75% of the residents around Wenruitang River were indifferent to the pollution situation of Wenruitang River; 25% of them only care about development and ignore pollution; 25% think that whoever pollutes accounts for 25%; 6.25% think they are environmentally conscious. Through consulting the information, I learned that the sources of water pollution are mainly unprocessed industrial wastewater and domestic wastewater. Untreated urban domestic sewage, paper-making sewage, agricultural sewage and urban garbage. Dead organic matter can consume dissolved oxygen in water and endanger the survival of fish; It can also lead to hypoxia in water, resulting in the death of microorganisms that need oxygen. It is these microorganisms that need oxygen that can decompose organic matter and maintain the self-purification ability of rivers and streams. The consequences of their death are: rivers and streams turn black and smelly, and toxins accumulate, hurting people and animals.

I heard adults say that when they were young, the river in their hometown was very clear, and there were green grass and naughty fish in the river, like a transparent painting. But after more than 2 years? Beautiful "decorations" roamed arrogantly on the Wenruitang River, stretching and doing morning exercises with the wind. How beautiful! These decorations are really a "rare" gift, which attracted countless factory owners to give them to Wenruitanghe's mother; Decoration is a "rare" good teacher, so that the surrounding residents can't help but want to accept it as their own head; Ornament is a "rare" magnet, which makes people's dark hearts have to be firmly attracted by it. Woo-hoo, our kind Wenruitang River has always tolerated all the sins of people, but it is these sins that have created such a "beautiful" and colorful Wenruitang River today.

Wenruitang River is the mother river of Wenzhou people and the blood of Wenzhou city. Wise men like water, but also want love the water. Protecting the mother river is to protect the source of our lives. But once upon a time, we ignored her existence because of the economic development of the city. Water pollution, garbage entering the river, riverbed siltation and river filling have left our mother river scarred and devastated for thousands of years. Let's take action, participate in the team that regulates and protects the mother river as much as we can, and restore the beautiful style of the mother river as soon as possible!

We should further intensify publicity and education, raise the legal awareness of environmental protection, establish a new concept of unified and coordinated development of environmental protection, economy and society, and strive to promote the implementation of the Water Pollution Prevention Law; 2. The choice and rational layout of industrial structure should be given priority, effective macro-control should be carried out in the initial stage of industrial development, and the pollutants produced should be controlled by dispersion and concentration. Reduce the discharge of domestic garbage in the river, and set up more "garbage bins" near the river, especially in densely populated areas; 3, the competent department of environmental protection should strengthen inspection and supervision, put an end to all kinds of water pollution phenomenon, in violation of the provisions of enterprises or individuals, increase the punishment, to implement the prevention and control of water pollution; 4, mobilize the enthusiasm of all parties, * * * to do a good job in the prevention and control of water pollution, protect the public's right to health, right to know, right to participate and supervision, and supervise the behavior that destroys the water environment.
