National standard for calibration of measuring instruments

Generally speaking, to judge whether a measuring instrument needs calibration, the following two conditions need to be met:

(1) Instruments and equipment in the list of measuring instruments for compulsory verification in People's Republic of China (PRC);

(2) The application fields of measuring instruments are: trade calculation, safety protection, medical care and environmental monitoring.

Measuring instruments refer to devices, instruments, measuring tools and reference materials that can be used to directly or indirectly measure the value of the measured object. Measuring instruments are widely used in production, scientific research and people's lives and play a very important role in the whole measurement legislation. Because the unification of national values is first reflected in the accuracy and consistency of measuring instruments, which are not only the main object of supervision and management, but also the technical basis for the measurement department to provide measurement guarantee.

Measuring instruments are legal, technical and instrumental measuring tools serving people in society. In the manufacturing process and maintenance process of measuring instruments, the operation and management of "verification, calibration, correction or calibration" are needed.

Article 6 The period of compulsory verification shall be determined by the metrological verification institution that implements compulsory verification according to the metrological verification regulations.

Article 7 No unit or individual may use the working measuring instruments that are subject to compulsory verification if they fail to apply for verification in accordance with the provisions of these Measures or fail to pass the verification.
