First, it is forbidden to plant eucalyptus on permanent basic farmland. The planted crops will be cleared by themselves before May 3, 20221,and the farming conditions will be restored.

Two, it is strictly prohibited to plant eucalyptus in general cultivated land, garden, and the first and second protected areas of surface drinking water sources. What has been planted should be withdrawn within two years.

Three, it is strictly prohibited to plant eucalyptus on both sides of the river and the first slope around the reservoir.

Four, forest cultivation of large diameter timber, the main cutting age is not less than 10 years of artificial timber forest. Without the consent of the town government, it is not allowed to use the forest land to newly plant eucalyptus, and the planting requirements will be withdrawn before 2025. Encourage timber forest operators to manage artificial timber forest scientifically, reduce the intensity of management, reduce the impact on soil and environment, and realize sustainable development and harmonious growth of artificial timber forest and nature.

Planting fast-growing eucalyptus trees in various parts of Guangxi has caused soil erosion and floor compaction, and many plant and animal species have disappeared. Moreover, the crops planted in the field are very easy to rot and deteriorate. After leaving the ground for three to five days, they will emit the smell of eucalyptus, which makes farmers afraid to plant crops by the stream. The water pollution is serious, although it is clear but smelly, so many farmland are abandoned and the ecological environment is seriously damaged.

In September 2020, the State Council issued the Notice on Resolutely Stopping Farmland Conversion, demanding effective measures to strengthen supervision and management, implementing the strictest farmland protection system, and clarifying six behaviors prohibiting farmland conversion:

First, it is strictly forbidden to illegally occupy cultivated land for afforestation;

Second, it is strictly forbidden to build a green channel beyond the standard;

Third, it is strictly forbidden to illegally occupy cultivated land and dig lakes for landscaping;

Fourth, it is forbidden to occupy permanent basic farmland and expand nature reserves;

Fifth, it is strictly forbidden to illegally occupy cultivated land for non-agricultural construction;

Sixth, it is strictly forbidden to grant land in violation of laws and regulations, and resolutely hold the red line of cultivated land.
