What safety knowledge do second graders have?

Second grade safety knowledge includes traffic safety, drowning prevention, and food hygiene.

1. Traffic safety

Pedestrians must walk on the sidewalk and walk on the right when there is no sidewalk; when crossing the road, they must use a crosswalk. When passing a sidewalk controlled by traffic signals, stop when the light is red and go when the light is green; when passing a sidewalk without traffic signals, look left and right, pay attention to passing vehicles, and do not chase or run.

If there is no pedestrian crossing, you must go straight through, and you are not allowed to cross suddenly when a vehicle approaches. If there is a pedestrian overpass or underpass, you must use the pedestrian overpass or underpass. It is not allowed to climb over the guardrails and isolation fences on the side of the road or in the middle of the road. It is not allowed to pick up cars, chase cars, forcibly stop cars or throw objects at cars on the road. Do not play, sit or lie on the road or engage in other behaviors that impede traffic.

2. Drowning prevention

Be prepared before going into the water. Stay away from rivers, swimming in reservoirs is strictly prohibited, and single persons are not allowed to go out to swim in rivers and lakes. It is not advisable to swim when you are in poor physical or mental condition, such as when you are tired, full, hungry, sick, or in a bad mood. Do not swim when you are sick, or do not swim immediately after strenuous physical labor or strenuous exercise.

Do not swim in rivers and lakes with unknown water conditions, and do not go out for swimming in bad weather. Swimming and playing in the water are strictly prohibited in waters with warning signs such as "No swimming or dangerous water depth". Do not run or chase around the pool to avoid slipping and injury. When swimming and playing in the water, do not push others into the water to avoid suffocation due to choking in water.

3. Food Hygiene

Do not buy or eat stale or rotten food. Do not eat seafood banned by the health department. Do not eat raw seafood, river fresh food, meat, etc. Do not buy food from unlicensed vendors. Do not buy food without a trademark or with incomplete labels such as date of manufacture, production unit, and expiration date.

Do not eat poisonous foods (such as puffer fish, wild mushrooms, raw green beans, sprouted potatoes, etc.). Do not eat food contaminated by insects. Do not drink unsterilized, boiled water, or outdated purified water that has been stored for too long. Develop good personal hygiene habits and wash hands frequently before eating. Tableware must be hygienic and you must have your own special tableware.
