China Edible Fungi Association, founded in 1987, is a national industrial social group with independent legal personality registered by the Ministry of Civil Affairs. It is a non-profit organization voluntarily participated by the production, processing and circulation enterprises of edible fungi (including medicinal fungi) and related industries, scientific research and teaching units, professional cooperatives and local industry organizations. In 2004, with the approval of the State Council, the Association joined the International Mushroom Society on behalf of the edible fungus industry in China and was elected as the vice president.

China is the world's largest producer of edible fungi, accounting for more than 70% of the world's total output. As a national edible fungi industry organization, China Edible Fungi Association wholeheartedly provides all-round services for its members and industries.
