This year, the total prize money of TI9 will reach $34 million, which is the highest prize money in all e-sports competitions.

The competition will start on August 15 and will be divided into two stages: group stage and elimination stage. The group match will be held from August 15 to August 18, and the elimination match will be held from August 20 to August 25. The following is the specific competition schedule:

TI9 competition will be held in China, Shanghai Gymnasium and Shanghai. This is a comprehensive stadium in Minhang District, Shanghai, which can accommodate 1000 people at the same time.

TI9 competition adopts the double-loss elimination system, each competition adopts BO3 (best of three games) rule, and the final adopts BO5 (best of five games) rule. During the competition, each team can be accompanied by a coach on the sidelines.

TI9 competition will be broadcast live on multiple platforms, including Twitch, YouTube, Betta, Tiger Tooth and so on. In addition, viewers in Chinese mainland can watch it on CCTV5.
