Teaching and educating people for more than forty years, the fragrance of peaches and plums is all over the world?——A record of old professor Shu Jianxiao
(Instructor: Li Feng? Correspondent of the School of Intellectual Property: Li Shangrong)
In order to carry forward the spirit of the "five elders", recall the prosperous years, and relive the struggle, in August 2021 On March 23, the "Five Elders" Research Team of the Golden Shield Law Society of Xiangtan University (hereinafter referred to as the "Golden Shield Research Team") had the honor to interview Senior Shu Jianxiao, an old professor with more than 40 years of teaching experience, through a combination of online and offline methods. Li Shangrong, a member of the research team who lives with Mr. Shu in Yinjiajia Village, Fengxiang District, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, visited the elderly man's home. With Shangrong's assistance, other members made a video call with Mr. Shu. The 9 members are scattered all over the world like stars, but the elder in the video deeply moved each of us. Mr. Shu is a handsome man with fair hair, good spirits, and a sharp eye and ears. When he talks about his teaching experience, he is full of emotion and happiness. (The picture shows seniors Li Shangrong and Shu Jianxiao, members of the research team) In 1960, Shu was 18 years old and in his prime years. He was a junior high school student who was only half a year away from graduating. He and several classmates were called to a neighboring village. Teaching in primary schools. After one semester, due to the shortage of teachers, Mr. Shu stayed in the school as a teacher. In 1966, the Cultural Revolution broke out. Due to family reasons, Mr. Shu left school to participate in labor. One day half a year later, the Grand Commune voted at a meeting to recall Mr. Shu back to school. Since then, Mr. Shu has been in many rural schools until he left school in 2004. In 1991, Mr. Shu received the Shaanxi Province Honorary Certificate for Teachers with 30 Years of Teaching Experience. In 2000, Mr. Shu obtained the title of senior middle school teacher, which is the highest professional title for middle school teachers and is equivalent to an associate professor.

Forty years of teaching are like songs, and he devoted himself to basic education to build the foundation for national rejuvenation
? 1949 The founding of the People's Republic of China in 2006 was a great moment of national rejuvenation, and the foundation of national rejuvenation lies in education, and the foundation of education lies in primary and secondary schools. At the beginning of the founding of New China, the average number of years of education per capita in my country was only 1.6 years. The gross enrollment rate of preschool education increased from 0.4% (in 1950), the net enrollment rate of primary school was 20%, the gross enrollment rate of junior high school was 3.1%, and the gross enrollment rate of high school was 20%. 1.1%, basic education is urgent. Due to the extreme shortage of local teachers, Mr. Shu was lucky enough to cross the family gap to become a teacher and contribute to China's education.
When we asked why he chose to be a teacher, Mr. Shu said: "Actually, I didn't want to be a teacher at first. I wanted to study. In the 1960s, it was the period of rural cooperatives and education was popularized. At that time, one school was There was a shortage of 2 or 3 teachers. Before we graduated, we were selected from junior high schools to become teachers. For this reason, I negotiated with the commune to come back and take the entrance examination after teaching for one year, and the commune finally agreed. After one semester, when I wanted to take the exam, the commune would not let me go, so I had no choice but to continue to be a teacher. After six years of being a teacher, the Cultural Revolution came and I was fired to participate in commune labor. Sports were popular again. At that time, the school organized competitions every semester. In order to meet the target, the principal of the school wanted to find a teacher, and then he found me. I was good at these fields. Finally, after a centralized vote among the 14 teams in the commune, the principal hired me. I called him back to school." Mr. Shu, who was good at culture and sports, rehearsed the program and led his classmates to participate in competitions. In this way, Mr. Shu had multiple jobs and started his long educational journey. Only this time, there was a little more fun and willingness.

"I moved to many places in the past forty years." Since 1960, Mr. Shu has moved to many primary schools, including Yequ Primary School. (1960.3-1960.8), Yanjiajia Primary School (1960.9-1963.8), Wangbaocun Primary School (1963.9-1966.3), Yinjiajia Primary School (1966.3-1972.2). During the Cultural Revolution, he left school for half a year due to family reasons. In 1972, due to his excellent educational performance, Mr. Shu was promoted to teach in junior high schools and began his second teaching journey.
Chencun No. 2 Middle School (1972.3-1978.8), Chencun No. 1 Middle School (1978.9-1984.8), Yequ Middle School (1984.9-1991.8), Wangbaocun Middle School (1991.9-1992.8), Huaiyuan Middle School (1992.9-1994.8), Yin Family Middle School (1994.9-2003.3). It was not until 2003 that the 62-year-old Shu officially left his podium.

Through wind and rain, string songs build up the building, but excellence, diligence and youthfulness
? In 1960, the first Mr. Shu, who entered Yequ Primary School for the first time, was still a student who had not graduated from junior high school. Here, he was responsible for the study of his sixth-grade classmates. He smiled and said: "When I entered the school for the first time, the sixth-grade students shouted: ' A new student was transferred to us. 'Because the children were older at the time, the boys in the sixth grade often "plucked carrots" from the teacher's head when they were playing basketball. It wasn't until 1963 or 1964 that the age of the students was determined. There are no restrictions.” When students disobey discipline, teachers will criticize them and conduct home visits every week. Referring to his teaching experience, Mr. Shu said: "At that time, it was under the unified management of the Fengxiang County Education Bureau. According to your family, you could teach mobilely in nearby rural middle schools." When Mr. Shu was teaching, due to insufficient infrastructure, the school was not Accommodation is provided, and you can walk to and from school. Mr. Shu said: "Due to low wages and the planned economy at that time, it was impossible to buy bicycles. We usually carried quilts on our backs when we went to school. We also carried quilts when we went to the county to hold study exchange meetings. I started in 1960 I only bought my first bicycle in 1982 when I was teaching. Although I bought a bicycle in 1982, there were dirt roads in the countryside at that time, and it was impossible to ride a bicycle when it rained." Talking about teaching in that era, Mr. Shu said. When it came to the class time: "At that time, the class was divided into three sections: morning and noon. From 6 to 8 o'clock in the morning, there were morning exercises, morning reading, Chinese language, and mathematics, and then a one-hour break for breakfast; from noon to 12:30, the class ended, and there was a one-hour break. Have lunch and go home from 3 to 6 p.m. "At that time, the teachers were more stressed than the students, because the students were all studying in the same village, and it took about an hour to go to school." The educational environment at that time was very harsh. It is simple and only costs 27 yuan a month. The school does not provide teacher dormitories, so Mr. Shu needs to get up at 5 o'clock every morning and walk for an hour to get to the school. After class in the afternoon, he has to walk for an hour back home. This lasted for more than twenty years.
"If you don't say anything, you will make mistakes." At that time, boys were the labor force of the family. Many rural families did not realize the importance of learning. It was not until students entered the society that they realized the kindness of teachers. Hard work. Mr. Shu, like many teachers, has been teaching for decades, and now he only remembers the good and naughty ones in the class. When the researcher asked about the classmates who had a profound impact, Mr. Shu thought for a while, with tears in his eyes, and said: "There is a student named Zhang Jijie. He is more honest and slow to respond. I like to ask questions every time in class. He couldn't answer, and then he was criticized. One year, I went to visit my sick brother and met him at the train station. He was working in the petroleum machinery factory in Baoji and asked me to go to his place. , I thought about how I often criticized him when I was in school and didn't want to go, but he forced me to go. During the night break, the child said to me: "I always wanted to tell you that when I was in school, I hated you very much. Now." I have a job, but I am not qualified for many jobs because I am uneducated. I regret it very much now. The teacher really paid a lot for me to study. If I had studied hard at that time, I would definitely be more useful now. 'I also have a child who is in school. He was very naughty at times, like when teachers and students went to work, he pushed the stone rollers in the countryside into the ditch. He did countless bad things. Later, when he came back from the army, he went to the school to find me and said to me: "Teacher, I was too disobedient when I was studying and didn't learn anything. I regret it now. If I were allowed to study now, I would definitely be a good student.'" Mr. Shu said happily: "These children have learned how to make progress in society. In fact, they have learned a lot. It’s pretty good.” While teachers impart knowledge, it is more important to help students establish correct values ??and outlook on life.
There is a family in the Bank of China in the heart, and life repays pain with songs. In 1966, in order to prevent the restoration of capitalism, maintain the purity of the party, and seek China’s own path to building socialism, New China launched the Cultural Revolution.
During this movement, countless people suffered unfair treatment due to their family background. Mr. Shu, who had been teaching for six years at that time, was assigned to build a reservoir. When talking about the Cultural Revolution, Mr. Shu did not have any resentment. Although he did not continue to study, he was fortunate to join the ranks of teachers; although he did not go to the battlefield, he trained talents for the motherland; although he did not join the Communist Party of China, the party has been forever Stay in my heart. Regarding the labor during the Cultural Revolution, he said with a smile: "In fact, many water conservancy projects were built at that time. Participating in labor also exercised my body, which was very good." His open-minded attitude impressed the research team. During the Cultural Revolution, Jiang Qing promoted eight model plays to promote revolutionary stories. When talking about his favorite model play, Mr. Shu mentioned "The Story of the Red Lantern". This story tells the story of three generations of revolutionaries in a family, the old revolutionary Grandma Liu, Li Yuhe who is in her prime, and the new generation revolutionary Li Tiemei. In order to protect the party's secret code, three unrelated generations formed a family and fought against the Japanese invaders. Later, the secret code was handed over to the guerrillas and they won the battle. Among them, Li Yuhe, a railway switch worker, died, and Li Tiemei completed this task. The successor of the revolution is Li Tiemei, which symbolizes the inheritance of the revolution. The century-old journey has been magnificent, and the heart of the century-old remains everlasting. In the century-old development of the Communist Party of China, it has been passed down from generation to generation. The era of the "five elders" has ended, but the spirit of the "five elders" will last forever.
"I have not joined the party, but I am devoted to the party." Mr. Shu expressed high respect for the party. Talking about why he did not join the party, Mr. Shu said with emotion: "It was a time of social change, and my family's My clan has the only surname of Murakami, so I was rated as a rich peasant, and my status was too high, so I was not qualified to join the party. Later, I had the opportunity, but I was old and about to retire, and I could no longer make a great contribution to the party, so I decided to join the party. I rejected many invitations from the school and left the opportunity to join the Party to young people. I thought: Compared with me, young people are the hope and future of the Party and can accompany the Party further. I will keep the Party in my heart and in my career. That's all." "Not joining the party when he was young is a regret in Mr. Shu's heart, but this regret cannot change the status of the party in Mr. Shu's heart. It is the leadership of the party that makes China look new. A portrait of Chairman Mao that has been hanging in Shu's hometown for decades, as well as books on the country's party and government at home, are the best evidence. Supporting the party's leadership is not only the responsibility of Communist Party members, but also the responsibility of every young person. The party is the people's party, and the country is the people's country. Talking about the inheritance of family tradition, Mr. Shu proudly said: "The family motto of our family is to study hard and be united. My grandfather is very strict with his children and does not allow us to drop out of school to farm or work. We only need to study. And we cannot be outside. Even if we fight or quarrel, we are not allowed to gamble. "Good family education laid the foundation for Shu Lao's growth. Regarding the education of his children, he also adhered to the teachings of his elders and taught his sons to unite as one. The family portrait hanging in the house, full of children and grandchildren, makes others envious.
"A three-foot podium, a three-inch tongue, a three-inch pen, three thousand peaches and plums; ten years of trees, ten years of wind, ten years of rain, one hundred thousand beams." Today, in order to build the country's education, The previous generation has completed its task of improving the national education rate. As the new generation that will succeed us, we should take it as our own responsibility to improve the quality and level of education. Listening to Mr. Shu's story allows us to remember history, mourn the countless ancestors who sacrificed their lives and blood for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and inspires us to work hard to learn from the lofty spirit of our ancestors. We are the "Five Elders" deeds research team of Xiangtan University Jindun Law Society, and we are "on the road"!
