Friends don't set their mobile phones online, they are not bound, and they can't receive short messages. If you want to recharge, others will charge you for sending you text messages, and each message will cost 10 cent. You should be able to find a recharge button when setting up your phone online. There is a small key on the top of the Want Want panel, which is the main menu (minimize the left side), and you can choose the recharge payment under the mobile phone Want Want.
