How does Xiaomi 6 encrypt short messages?

Open the SMS button on the mobile phone desktop and enter the SMS interface, as shown in the figure below:

In the SMS interface, according to the illustrated method, drop down the menu until a locking pattern stops:

After entering the encrypted SMS interface, find the encryption settings at the bottom, and click to enter the next interface, as shown in the figure below:

In the next interface, password protection will be enabled and the encryption mode will be set. Then find Add Private Contact at the bottom of the interface, as shown in the following figure:

Add Personal Contacts Next interface, we can add personal contacts by manually adding and selecting call contacts. Private messages are encrypted messages:

We enter the encrypted short message according to the first, second and third steps, and the interface of encryption mode will appear:
