After I came to Beijing, my students gave me 1000 yuan as "start-up capital". After I settled down my family, I began to look for a job. The experience of looking for a job has become a living teaching material to instill in my children that "only knowledge can survive". I can only teach and write, and my age has exceeded someone's almost unanimous "thirty-five". With a pack of award-winning certificates and works weighing three or four kilograms, I decided to find a school or a cultural publishing unit. I found several schools. After reading my resume, award-winning certificate and thesis, the leader expressed his appreciation and was willing to consider accepting it. But I heard that I have two school-age children who want to be rich, and they all declined in different ways.

I will make further adjustments and prepare to lower the requirements. I borrowed some newspapers and magazines from that student and came across a monthly magazine run by a famous national publishing house, which actually contained many typos, punctuation marks and even language errors. I bought two new issues specially, and there were many mistakes. I smiled and told the children that I had a job, and they were at a loss. The next day, I called the editor-in-chief of that magazine and briefly described my findings. They are very interested and let me go for an interview. I went to that publishing house with three magazines I drew. As a result, I worked as a part-time proofreader for them, and each period was 800 yuan. Children fully believe in the usefulness of knowledge. Next, I used the same method to find a magazine, which was also a part-time job with a monthly salary of 600 yuan. I will be an editor in a cultural company, with a monthly salary of 1200 yuan.

After working for a period of time, I feel an unspeakable emptiness and panic. I calmed down and thought I had "failed" in running a school. Although I have no financial conditions, I never give up. I want to run a class. I worked hard and studied for two years before I came out to work in this club. During this time, my children went to Beijing to have lunch with me every noon. Apart from Grandpa Zhao and Grandma who are familiar with the same office, I also lost no time in identifying the people who came in and out of our office: this is Grandpa Meng Guangheng, editor-in-chief of the national textbook "Reference Book for Middle School History Teaching", and this is Grandma, a famous English professor at Renmin University. This uncle Huang Weiwen is a master who came back from studying in England. Be an ordinary person and be a good person.

I just took them to visit several very humble schools for the children of migrant workers at the weekend. They say Heping Street Central Primary School should be considered a very good school. I saidno. I also took them to visit several schools with particularly good conditions and told them that we are ordinary people and went to ordinary schools. I also took the opportunity to write the composition "I and the Olympics" for primary and middle school students in Beijing, so that they could understand the relationship between learning conditions and academic performance.

In order to make the children have a calm mind, I took them to visit many different working and accommodation environments. I took them to Tiananmen Square from the vicinity of the China-Japan Friendship Hospital where we lived at that time. We walked for more than two hours in the evening, walked for more than two hours from Shijingshan along Yongding River to Lugou Bridge, and walked for four and a half hours from Lu Gu to Tiananmen Square ... We observed the crowds in the subway during commuting and the vendors who were busy pulling vegetables and setting up stalls before dawn. I have only one purpose.

It is not easy for children to have a normal mentality, and children will compare it intentionally or unintentionally. In order not to make the children feel too inferior, we only lived in a bungalow for half a year, let the children know how to make a fire and boil water for heating and cooking, and then rented a building; Our family bought a multimedia computer in 1995. After bankruptcy, children often mentioned computers, so I quickly bought a second-hand one.

When parents, especially fathers, are calm, children can be calm. I have never asked my children how many points they want to take and how much they rank. I just set a big framework: they have to learn most of what the teacher teaches. If they don't get 80 points, they just don't understand. Up to now, neither son nor daughter has won the first prize, nor has she passed the exam 100, but they both love to observe and think, and their interests are healthy and extensive. Although the son of senior one can only get 890 points in the so-called main subjects, even he learns with relish, and can get 890 points in history, geography, biotechnology and other courses. I already feel very comfortable.

In dealing with people, I also drew a framework for them to be ordinary good people: it is sages who sacrifice themselves for others, which is difficult for ordinary people to do and there is no need to do it; Self-interest is a good person, and we should work hard to do it; It is the bad guys who harm others and benefit themselves. Never do it. It is enough for a person to consider how to make the other party or the third party profit while considering his own interests. It is also a good person to do this for a lifetime.

The theme of caring and making the world full of love is relatively empty. I often analyze related phenomena for children: I sincerely hope that everyone will live well and have money. Everyone is happy sometimes, so no one will take it out on you; Everyone is rich, so it is easy to make money in any line of work. Love should be shown to others. If a person is cold to his family and warm to others, it is hypocrisy. It is not normal for a person to adopt some disabled cats and sick dogs to show "love" regardless of other people's difficulties and disasters.

Freedom is directly proportional to consciousness.

It is human nature that children long for freedom, but there is no absolute and unconditional freedom in the world. My dogma is that freedom comes from self-awareness, and the higher the degree of self-awareness, the more freedom you get. No matter at home, at school, or in the future, this is the truth: at home, if you tell your parents to go out for an hour, you can come back on time, and this requirement will be easily met next time, otherwise, you will lose your freedom; In school, some students are always stared at by teachers, others are free, and teachers will be tolerant when they make mistakes occasionally, which is largely determined by the degree of consciousness of these students at ordinary times. ...

In this regard, I often give children examples, and so do they. One winter vacation, more than a month before the holiday, two children were fascinated by computer animation. They used up all their extra-curricular time. It was useless to remind them several times, and they failed in the final exam. I don't blame them for not reaching the loose limit I set for them in English and mathematics, but this holiday, they lost their freedom: they wanted to experience my work with me according to my schedule. The clubs I am in charge of are all extracurricular classes. Holidays and weekends are my busiest times. I have to get up at six o'clock every morning, and they have to get up with me. Make breakfast together, and then walk for 40 minutes to class; They study by themselves when I am in class, and they also rest when I rest; I eat whatever I have for lunch and walk home together at night. There is no wind and rain, and there is no sunshine. There are only three days off during the Spring Festival. After a holiday, they all had a profound experience: on the one hand, they felt the pain of losing their freedom, on the other hand, they understood their parents' hardships, and they also saw the enthusiasm of those students who sacrificed their holidays and money to go to extracurricular classes for future competition. With experience, parents' "conscious" reminder effect is much better.

I am not a success, but I think I am an ordinary person who fell and got up. I hope my children can have this spirit in the future.
