Brief introduction of Baohua Mountain in Jurong

Jiang Nanan, located in the east of Jinling, is a famous Buddhist shrine-Baohua Mountain, surrounded by mountains, just like a lotus flower. Its main peak is 437.2 meters above sea level, just like a stamen, towering high in the mountains. Baohuashan, formerly known as Huashan, was named after the yellow flower in midsummer and the ancient name of "flower" and "flower". In the Southern Dynasties, there was a monk named Baozhi (Jurong) in Liang Dynasty. In his later years, he climbed a mountain and set up an altar to give lectures and preach, which made the mountain famous all over the world. After Baozhi's death, Huashan was renamed Baohua Mountain to commemorate the founder.

Baohua Mountain is located in the northwest of Jurong, Jiangsu Province, bordering Nanjing, south of 3 12 National Highway, north of Shanghai-Nanjing Expressway, and 30 kilometers away from Nanjing, Zhenjiang and Jurong. It was named after the yellow flowers spread all over the mountains in spring, and later changed its name to Baohua Mountain because Bao Zhi, a high-ranking monk of Liang Dynasty, came here to give lectures in the Southern and Northern Dynasties. Baohua Mountain is known as "the beauty of foothills, the beauty of peaks and valleys, the depth of caves and valleys, and the victory of clouds". 198 1 was approved as a "provincial nature reserve" by the provincial government, and 1996 was approved as a national forest park in April. In 2003, it was approved as a national AAAA scenic spot.

Baohua Mountain is the highest peak of Ningzhen Mountain range. The ancients praised this mountain as "Tieweng (Zhenjiang) in the east, Jinling in the west, Jurong in the south and the Yangtze River in the north". Surrounded by mountains on all sides, it is magnificent and famous for its four wonders: "the beauty of foothills, the beauty of peaks and valleys, the depth of caves and valleys, and the victory of smoke and clouds"

The zonal vegetation in Baohua Mountain is well preserved, with vascular plants 124 families, 352 genera and 529 species. Among them, Magnolia grandiflora is a unique tree species, which was a new generation three million years ago. There are wild species such as Phyllostachys pubescens, Phyllostachys pubescens and Phyllostachys pubescens, which are called "Bamboo Sea". There are abundant animal resources here, including more than 20 kinds of mammals such as jackals, wolves, roebuck and foxes, and nearly 100 kinds of birds such as thrush, starling and egret, which have high ornamental and research value. 1984, Jiangsu Province established a nature reserve here, which was later listed as a national forest park.

Baohuashan National Forest Park is located on the golden tourist route in East China, connected with Liang Qing Temple, qixia temple Temple, Jiangtian Temple in Jinshan and Dinghui Temple in Jiaoshan within 30 kilometers of Fiona Fang, 23 kilometers away from Nanjing in the west and 30 kilometers away from Zhencheng in the east, and 3 12 national highway runs through it. In order to further develop the tourism resources of Baohua Mountain, Baohua Mountain invested 2 billion yuan to set up a tourism development company, and planned and developed more than 40 tourism investment projects, including Longchang Temple scenic spot, international ecological community, animal and plant viewing scenic spot and holiday scenic spot, making Baohua Mountain a melting pot with forest landscape as the main body, natural landscape and human landscape as a whole, relying on famous ancient temples, and integrating nature protection, forest tourism, summer vacation, recuperation, recreation and popular science education.

The reason why Baohua Mountain is famous in ancient and modern times and overseas is that Baohua Mountain is tall and beautiful, with the reputation of "the beauty of the foothills, the beauty of the peaks and valleys, the deep caves and the victory of the clouds". Historical records record: "Its shape is peaceful and easy, and its potential is dignified", "Surrounded by mountains on all sides, a peak rises", and the temple is hidden in the middle, like a flower of calyx, and like a lotus with a room. There are towering old trees in the mountains, criss-crossing streams, tinkling springs, shady trees, misty clouds, quiet dust and pleasant climate. It is really a summer resort. There are hundreds of thousands of disciples who have obtained "Buddhist diplomas" in Longchang Temple all over the world. At the same time, it also enjoys a certain reputation in foreign Buddhist circles. Japan, Thailand, Myanmar, India and other countries, many people come here to be ordained by the Buddha and give jade Buddha, stone Buddha, bronze chime and other things. In addition, Baohua Mountain is rich in natural resources. There are many kinds of precious trees and medicinal materials growing in the mountains, especially Magnolia grandiflora, which is a rare treasure and is now a provincial nature reserve. Baohua Mountain also has many places of interest, and there are dozens of scenic spots worth visiting. The famous ones are Longchang Temple, Bronze Hall, Infinite Hall, Altar, Nine Cave, Four Ponds, Fishing Rock, Jiang Tai, Palace and Imperial Monument Pavilion.
