It is understood that the current 5G network is divided into two modes: independent networking (SA) and dependent networking (NSA). Non-independent networking is a hybrid networking mode in which 5G base stations access the 4G core network by transforming the 4G network in the early stage of 5G construction, while independent networking is a completely independent 5G network. Only SA network can fully provide three application scenarios: eMMB (enhanced mobile broadband, i.e. large bandwidth), URLLC (high reliability and low delay) and mMTC (massive large connection, i.e. wide connection), as well as network applications with new characteristics of 5G, such as network slicing, edge computing and cloud network convergence.

According to the guiding ideology of 5G construction of two group companies, China Telecom Guangxi Company and China Unicom Guangxi Branch actively share 5G base stations and adhere to the SA networking mode in one step. Since the beginning of this year, the two sides have overcome the impact of the epidemic, closely cooperated with the government's goal of promoting social and economic recovery and growth through the development of 5G industry and new infrastructure, and worked together with industrial partner Qi Xin to speed up the construction progress of 5G SA network, improve the service quality of 5G SA network, and deepen the collaborative exploration of 5G SA network and digital development of various industries.

The construction of 5G is different from the previous mobile phone network, which requires a lot of exploration and practice. According to the relevant technical personnel of China Telecom Guangxi Company, in the process of promoting the construction of the world-leading 5G SA network, communication builders actively carried out innovative research to achieve key technological breakthroughs, and successively passed more than 3,000 FOA test cases such as 4/5G heterogeneous network collaboration and simulated loading, and completed key technical tests such as 5G 200M ultra-large bandwidth, high and low frequency super uplink, and 2. 1G intermediate frequency band 4/5G multiplexing. Guangxi Telecom has built a 5G network with ultra-high bandwidth, ultra-high uplink and ultra-low delay for 40 group-level and provincial-level regional industry 5G application projects. According to Zhou Fen, general manager of the marketing department of China Telecom Guangxi Company, due to the rapid growth of 4G users in recent years, 4G networks are relatively crowded like highways during festivals, while 5G networks are a new network and an empty "super highway".
