The most important thing about home insurance in the north should be plumbing pipe burst insurance, because there is heating in winter. Personally, I think PICC's "Golden Lock" home insurance is pretty good, quite cheap (I can't remember the exact amount, it should be less than 200/year), and the insured items are pretty comprehensive. The most important thing is that PICC has branches all over the country, so the speed and quality of claims settlement should be guaranteed.
