Member and Vice President of china law society Party Group, Chairman of China Social Law Research Association, Member of the 12th the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC), Vice Chairman of Law Committee, Vice President china law society, Executive Vice President of China Renmin University and Chairman of China Civil Law Research Association attended the meeting.

The meeting of the leading group of china law society Civil Code Compilation Project was chaired by Vice President Zhang. Zhang Ming first announced the establishment of the china law society Civil Code Compilation Project Leading Group on behalf of the china law society Party Group, and read out the list of members. Zhang is the team leader and deputy team leader. Members include Ma, Wang Yi, Liu, Sun, Li Shichun, Li Cunpeng, Yang Xiaoping, Yang Lixin, Yang Zhen, Zhang Sophie, Chen Xiaojun, Zhao Xudong, Gao Xiang, Guo Mingrui, Cui Jianyuan, Wen Shiyang and Tan Qiyuan. Wang Yi and Du Lin served as the Secretary-General of the Group, and members of the secretariat of China Civil Law Research Association formed the secretariat of the Group.

Zhang conveyed the three meetings on civil code compilation organized by the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC) Law Committee since 20 15, including the symposium on civil code compilation, the meeting of the coordination group on civil code compilation and the symposium on general principles of civil law, and introduced the consensus contents of the meetings on the top-level design and overall arrangement, framework structure, work plan and work steps of civil code compilation.

Professor Wang Liming introduced the process of compiling the Draft of Experts' Suggestions on General Principles of People's Republic of China (PRC) Civil Code (Draft for Comment) submitted to the leading group meeting for discussion. This expert's proposal draft is based on the Proposal Draft of China's Civil Code (General Provisions) compiled and published by Professor Wang Liming in 2004, and has widely absorbed the suggestions of other experts in academic circles. Professor Wang Liming hopes that the members of the leading group of china law society Civil Code Compilation Project will organize more small series of academic seminars and put forward suggestions on revising and perfecting the draft. China Civil Law Research Association will also organize a series of small-scale academic seminars to solicit the opinions of experts in the fields of commercial law, intellectual property law, social law, civil procedure law, jurisprudence and legal history, as well as the opinions of the directors and standing directors of China Civil Law Research Association and the whole civil law and civil law practice circle, so as to form a formal proposal that embodies basic consensus and represents the mainstream opinions of academic circles.
